It makes me sad. by artimator

And frustrated when every time someone else nabs this wonderful, really expensive design that others might've wanted as well, and don't bother drawing it, or developing it into a character. Not even a simple one.
Then again, I have no right to judge them. :|
Otherwise I'd have my ass handed to me by a bunch of other people that do the same.

It makes me sad.

    Can relate..missed out on a few designs I WANTED badly, but also as an artist seeing MY ADOPT designs sell in the $100 range, but then end up getting more art from artists I want to commission MYSELF, and even art from artists I DON'T even snag slots from I WANT..it pays off in the end.. ;_;

      Wow. That's a lot of money.
      Wish I could do that too. Only I can't. 8D
      Yowch.

    Definitely know those feels. I have seen several really gorgeous designs go to dead accounts never to be seen again. It is heartbreaking

      Tell me about it. B|

    Sounds like a kind of greed. It's best to let them do what they do, but there's nothing wrong with talking and thinking about it.

    • Link

      Let the greedy be greedy 'till they drop.
      That makes me feel a whole lot better. 8D

    My feels man ;u;
    I have all the ideas for the adopts i grab and if i don't get it written down fast enough i have to rethink things LMAO
    but still. plans everywhere.
    (I super pout when people don't use the designs i want though x-x)

      Right?

      Yeah. Like, geez if they pay that much money for something they can only draw and carry around the internet, might as well turn it into something really awesome.
      Only they don't. B|
      Months--Hell even weeks or days later they trade it off for something else that will most probably also be traded off in the next couple weeks.
      Most people nab designs out of the blue without even thinking if they can draw them or not. Oftentimes they don't even try to learn how to draw them, and the people who know they can take good care of that brilliant idea are left to stare at such stupidity.

        the trade game is what REALLY pisses me off.
        why keep this awesome character constantly in flux??? trading it to other traders and so on until it gets lost and the people who seriously want it lose track of it.

        so.
        not.
        fair. ;n;

        for me its not a matter of 'if i can' draw it, it's a matter of 'when i draw it' which is usually after commissions xD but i don't normally wait long to work on stories for my guys, bare minimum ;u; -paws face- its so frustrating that people with more money than me like to trade off their expensive adopts instead of letting someone who really wants it for their world have it.

        like damn.
        i know you're rich, but c'mon ;n; /bricckeed/

        • Link

          Yeah.
          It's like....plainly saying to your face: "You gotta be rich and popular to have one of these. If not, poor you. :P"
          Jesus.

          • Link

            that may bother me just as much as people who don't use the adopts actually xD
            -lays down-
            luxury items mang.

    feel you there

    Ive only nabbed a few designs myself but i do feel bad that ive only used 1 so far (i'll be using another in the future) and none of the others. I only buy them if i REALLY like the design though so i havent really hoarded many characters (Ive also bought some to help the artist out) But i do find it a bit unsettling when people buy characters just to say they have a lot and it also makes me wonder how theyre paying for so many so quickly

    So yeah i agree with you even though i have done it too (just not to the extreme as some people) Honestly though i would LOVE to use every character i have bought and draw them a lot, but id have to learn how to draw better first :s

    • Link

      Nah, I get ya. I have some characters collecting dust too. Considering revamping them then giving them away.

      'But i do find it a bit unsettling when people buy characters just to say they have a lot and it also makes me wonder how theyre paying for so many so quickly'

      Tell me about it. Too bad the best course of action would be to shut up about it, and not point it out, else it's trouble you get. B|
      I mean really, $1050 for a slightly tweaked colored base that the buyer is not allowed to change that will never ever be drawn by them as well? LMAO people might know what specific adopt I'm actually talking about here. BT

      • Link

        Waaaaait, whaaaaat? 1050? Really?

        • Link

          RICH PEOPLE ARE SO FRUSTRATING. OMG -flaildies-

          • Link

            I mean.. I could afford it if I really wanted to, but it would have to be something pretty amazing for that price xD That and I would actually, you know... use it o3o

            • Link

              yeah seriously... i could afford it if i could do payments but LOL no one takes those anymore.... and you are very good about getting art of your adopts yes :3
