They posted a news article about Disney buying Star Trek, complete with image of Mr. Spock with Photoshopped Mickey ears. Aside from just being uninspired, low-hanging fruit I find the timing in questionable taste so soon after Leonard Nimoy's death.

tumblr put an add up near the 'watchers/like post' area that looks exactly like a malware add. If you click it it brings up a bright annoying flashing thing that wont go away, similiar to the ancient clippy thing from back in the day. Except it WONT go away

When an April Fools joke is indistinguishable from ACTUAL malware then you know you've gone entirely in the wrong direction.
