grumble grumble vent vent argh by V1rus

I don't really want the backwash of Fa rushing here when that smoldering ship finally sinks for good. I like that it's quieter here and there isn't a thick, flabby layer of YCH/ADOPTABLE/COMMISSION/CHARACTER DESIGN RERERESALE over literally everything. I'd prefer it if people could make a voluntary decision to join this site, and look to actually use it, as opposed to the swell of submissions and advertisements in a mad rush to set up a camp on their temporary safe haven of a backup plan before they roll right on back to that garbage boat.

Ugh. I get queasy at just the thought.

Maybe I'll hibernate until summer when all of this nonsense evens out.

    A lot of people make comments how weasyl is too quiet or how no one uses it compared to other sites. Despite the lack of user activity i agree with you that there is less crap you have to sift through compared to FA (commission/Ych/Etc) and it definitly has a different pace which some of us are looking for. for the most part, I dont use FA as much anymore because there is simply a lot of shady, scummy characters that use it.

It's like personally if it was just the creme of the crop that would move here from FA voluntarily I wouldnt mind so much but It's always the seedy and maybe a few golden boys that come and then backlog everything with the stuff we left back on FA :/ it's like everytime there is a mass flood to weasyl half of them don't tag things properly so you get things you blacklisted in your visible feed and then they get upset with you for editing their tags >.>

    I like the limited user activity but it's like at least we are our own little niche on the furry webs and we can look at actual art and not stream notices or ych commission notification images all day everyday.

    It'll be fine, most furries are fools who'll go back and use FA even after IMVU destroys it by making it 'Family Friendly'.
