I'm torn. Between commission blocs, should* I work on adoptables or porn auctions today?
(* I'm not asking "what do you want to buy" here, just flipping an internet coin, haha.)

(I do like the idea of "porn adoptables" suggested in a common below, ahah. I don't know how that would work out but it sounds really fun to implement!)

Porn auctions. They generally will do better financially than adoptables.

Heh. Actually, at least in terms of the ratio of time invested to money received, adoptables vs. adult auctions works out pretty close to even for me. I'm willing to accept I may be Doing It Wrong, of course.

Really? I find that porn/YCH/prepose/etc auctions tend to sell waaaaaaaaay higher and get way more bids than adopatables do.

Really! I could show you the math if you want, but adoptables take me very little time to do compared to YCH auctions, so broken down into $ per hour, it comes out about equal.
Do you run auctions here, or on FurAffinity? That might also be a contributing factor; I occasionally advertise auctions-in-progress on FA, but I don't post there any more.

I usually handle business stuff through FA since that is, unfortunately, where most of my followers are at this point. Also, I've only ever observed others' auctions on FA - haven't ever seen one run here that I can remember.

I'm on my 15th Weasyl-exclusive auction. A few other people run them here; Arabesque is the only name popping into my head, but I know there are a handful of us. You're right, though, most people who post porn/pinup YCH auctions here hold the bidding on FA.
It's possible porn does better on FA -- I see a lot more general-audience stuff here -- but I also see a lot of adult YCH auctions on FA that close with no bids, so I assume the major determining factor of auction/adoptable sales success is "audience". Which... I'm working on. :>
