Does andybody watch TV anymore? by JohnStripedfur

It's something that I'm noticing more right now. Especially with the last video on YouTube I saw of YouTubers React on The Fine Bros channel. They showed clips of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and when asked if they watch the show on TV. Most said they don't watch TV anymore.

Which surprised the hell out of me because I assume most people still watch TV. So, now I'm starting to wonder. Does anybody still watch TV? I'm sure the older audience still does, but the younger ones. Probably not. I mean, they can still watch just clips of shows and have Hulu and stuff to watch TV shows old and current. And I can understand it's a money saver since you don't want to pay for cable. But, here's the thing. You can still watch TV and not pay for cable. There's still free TV available. Just buy an antenna from RadioShack or any other electronic store and hook it up for your TV. Sure, most of the best shows are on cable, but there's still some good shows on regular TV. There's still ABC, NBC, CBS, CW, and Fox. Give those channels a chance.

Though, I'm starting to see the future. In probably like 30-40 years. TV would probably just be used to watch movies or web shows on the bigger screen and tv stations would be a thing of the past. The wave of the future.

It's a current truth, even I'll state that I don't mess with T.V. (or even any of the mainstream media for that matter) anymore since sites such as YT seem to provide a form of entertainment that appeals to me, without any costs to boot.

On top of that, it's way easier to invest into a laptop that can provide the near same function as a TV; the only catch to that is the comp's usually become inferior to a newer model within a two-four year timespan, but since it's so consolidated and multi-purposed it pays off.

Well, you still need to pay for Internet. Antenna tv is still free.

Discussions are currently underway that might result in conventional TV moving entirely to the internet. Could be in as little as 10 years.
