TFF Wrapup and Hobby Stuffs by KajTaotsu

TFF2015 was incredible! Even with the drawback that I couldn't drink much due to my voice being completely botched from thursday till following week's friday, I had a great time meeting old and new friends. Alas, also due to throat, I took it easy and didn't get to suit as much as I wanted, even missing the fursuit parade, but oh well, it was fun while I did so and I didn't get any fur in my eyes this time!

Friday night dinner, me and the boyfriend got to meet up with with our friends, Moony, Peach, Aerosocks, SkiaSkai, and a handful of others at Magic Time Machine; a themed restaurant where you pretty much walk into another world at each turn and table. It was absolutely incredible in there, just wish I could say the same about other attributes about the place. Over all though, it will be a very memorable visit for sure!

Saturday night before my friend, Darroh Huskers' DJ Set, Got together with another group of friends and had deep dish pizza from a place called Taste of Chicago. Holy christ on a stick, that pizza was amazing. Probably some of the best pizza I've had here in Texas, can't compare it to Pena's over in LA, CA though due to my visit there being so long ago. As for the set, Darroh killed at his set, and you can listen to the entirety of it right here. Gotta love his work.

Sunday, I got to rush and get our room cleaned up and checked out, go see the finals for the dance competition, and then say my final goodbyes to friends before heading home in the nasty weather that showed up that day. Honestly, it was hard leaving some of those people, knowing that I wouldn't see them again for quite some time. But hey, just means that the next time we meet up, it'll be all the sweeter :)

For loot, got two amazing badges of Asiago, one from Idess Idess, the other from Rukis Rukis, some prints, portfolio books, sketchdoodle page and pencil piece from LauraGarabedian LauraGarabedian from a month before, copy of Room Party and its Furcon expansion (GREAT game, btw, totally worth the money), and some other nicknacks that I can't remember at the moment.

ALRIGHT ENOUGH ABOUT CON, KAJ, GET TO THIS HOBBY SHIT YOU MENTIONED
For this con, my friend Aerosocks who made my partial suit, helped me remake my paws and make new sleeves so I can go suiting in short-sleeve shirts. I got to do the stitching for most of the pieces and while it gave my hands a run for their money, I really enjoyed being able to make these pieces and having a great finished product afterwards.
Since I'm done with college (for) now, I've got to do something other than just work, eat, cook, video games. It'll drive me more insane than I already am. I'm thinking about dabbling in the crafts of sewing and even some basic leatherwork since I love the steampunk genre. I have a few ideas for first projects for me to do; making some bottle clasps and test tube holders, so hopefully I'll be able to show that off to y'all in the near future since I got the tools to make them recently.
Do you have any suggestions of what I should look into for tips and tricks, how to get started with either of these, etc? I'd love your input!

PS.
sorry for any blabbering or anything that seems a bit screwy...it's 5AM and I really should have been asleep 2 hours ago easily...WOOPS~

Sounds like you had a great time! I only managed to go on Saturday but it was still a blast. Even got to meet one of my favorite artists who just HAPPENED to be visiting from Japan. Hahaha. A shame we didn't run into each other. (Or maybe we did? hahaha).
But hey. That sounds cool. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
