That being said, Valentine's Day is the worst holiday ever contrived by people. It's basically an invention by the companies who wanted to convince folks to buy cards and little gifts for your loved ones so they could make a big profit. Its only purpose is to make single people feel awful for being single (even though there is nothing wrong with it. Better to be single on your way to finding mister or misses right) and making you buy useless shit for the people that you're with.

Look, if you need a single day out of the year to remind you that you should be doing something loving for the one you're with, you're doing the relationship wrong. Give them little reminders of your love all year round. It should be in what you do, what you say, and (to a lesser extent) what you buy for them to show your thoughtfulness.
