I haven't updated my journal in over a year, lemme fix that.

So! I'm making an effort to shift my focus back onto visual art. It's been a long time since I've actually made illustration a primary focus, and it feels like I should've done this a long time ago. I'm also rusty as hell, so I'll have to put in a lot of time to make a routine out of it again. But I'm working again and I feel way better for it.

I tried to make music my primary focus for a few years, and produced some new stuff during this time, but truth be told: Making music with the intent of packaging it all together and selling it simply isn't for me, it sucked all of the fun out of actually making it. So I've pushed music aside. Maybe I'll treat it like a hobby again instead, who knows. Point is, don't expect any "big" music releases from me in the future, if ever. Sorry!

During those few years though, I discovered that I love animating and producing videos. A lot. And even if the majority of the work I did was paid promo work for other people, I still enjoyed every minute of it, and I'd love to do more. Maybe you would like to see me do more? (Did you know I do videos? I have things on YouTube!) I'd like to work out some way to do more videos and artwork, but no plans for that just yet. Maybe something will happen there? Possibly??

Also: 3D. I loooved working with 3D in my video for Casey's "Floating Rooms". Wanna do more of that too, but like, actually learn how to do it properly and competently, and not hide behind low-poly (even though I LOVE low-poly and I would make so much more of it regardless).

SO THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON AND THINKING ABOUT, CREATIVELY-SPEAKING.
