FC 2015 - Difficulties - Returning Tomorrow! by farorenightclaw

Hey guys! Just so you know, I'm home with CassioBunny right now. She had a medical issue (a kidney stone, as it turns out, but the pain was so severe we had to take her to the ER to get that diagnosed) so I came home with her to take care of her while the pain is this intense, and am spending the night at home with her. However, home is only about 15 minutes from the con, so I'm not far! I'll be back tomorrow in time for my panel (Being A Full Time Furry Artist, which will be in Blossom Hill I on floor 3 of the Marriott at 1pm) and running around a little bit before I pack up my hotel room and head home for good.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to be at the Dragon's Hoard dealer table for very long today, I had other commitments (which were then interrupted by the trip to the emergency room, oops) and wasn't back at the con until after the Den closed. And then I was back home again, and here I am.

It's been a lovely con so far with very very few exceptions, and so nice to meet people and see old friends. I hope to see and meet more of you tomorrow!

So sorry to hear the trouble! Good thing you are close! You two take care!

Aaaack. Hope Cassio feels better soon!

Yeah, at this rate it should pass later today or early tomorrow, so here's hoping it's over quickly.

Still, paaaaaaain. I've never had one myself but I've heard kidney stones are horrifically painful. Send her my well-wishes, please!

ack. stones suck ass. hope that the Casster gets better soon. :(

Yeah, I've heard the pain is comparable to childbirth in some cases, and unfortunately this seems to be one of those. It seems to be moving quickly though, so I'm hoping it's all over later today or early tomorrow.

better quicker than super slow and drawn out, for sure. and yeah--if the stone is being passed via urethra....(VERY common route) it gets excruciating to where person may passout. :/

keep an ear out for Cass when she uses the lou, just to make sure that kinda stuff doesn't happen too. (not intended to scare, just there to help educate and keep aware of worst case happenings that i've seen and encountered growing up.)

Yeah, at this point I'm thinking it'll pass out the urethra tomorrow morning or early afternoon. The pain is down in her bladder now.

When the time comes, I've heard it's better to get on all fours in the tub so that gravity can help it out (in the case of someone with a penis). Hopefully that'll also reduce the risk of head-hitting or anything if she does pass out. And I'll be with her, of course, and have someone else with her if I have to go anywhere before it passes.

glad you guys are keeping up on looking into things to help ease the pain as well. any eating she should focus on some fiber and water intake to help loosen and soften it some too i was reading a bit ago. (doubt it'll help much by now, but still...)

she'll be sore for a day or three after, so just help her around if she needs or wants it any at all just to be extra loving :) (goes a very long way with that kinda pain ^^)

Oh gosh. D: I have a friend who used to get those - he hasn't in a few years, but I know from what he's told me that they can be horrifically painful. Sending all my hugs and well-wishes to Cassio, and I hope she's OK soon! <3

Yeah, the pain is supposed to be comparable to childbirth. @_@ Thanks so much for your kind wishes!

Hoping Cassio gets well soon and you arrive home safe and sound!

We are home safe! We only live about 15 minutes from the con, haha. She's still in pain, but we're hoping it'll be over soon.
