Commission Prices/System Update by TeknicolorTiger

So while I'm a still three images away from opening commissions again, considering how much traffic my art's been getting recently I'm going to assume there's going to be more than a handful of people wanting to get art from me at some point. So I figured I'd just give you all a heads up that I'm going to be completely revamping my system.

Given how I work, which is usually in bursts, I figure that a pay-by-the-hour system would work best for me. I'd be charging $20 an hour for most pieces however things like sketches will remain a flat rate of $20. Most sketches only take me an hour to do anyway and will still include a textured background and one color. However, with each hourly I'll be allowing myself 30 minutes of leeway where I can let my perfectionism do what it wants. That's 30 extra minutes that the commissioner will not be paying for (unless they really want to of course. :P). As time draws nearer for me to reopen commissions, I'll post examples on what commissioners can expect in terms of how much time they pay for. Like, this is roughly what you'd get for a 4 hour session, 6 hour session, 8, etc. Times would be approximate because my speed does depend on things like working from references and how well I work with the subject. The examples would be what I feel is the minimum for what a commissioner would get, meaning that most likely, they'd end up with more in most cases. And then there's the aforementioned 30 minute buffer that would ideally allow me to tidy up the piece, fix mistakes, add additional effects, etc.

Additionally, in order for commissioners to keep track of their commissions and how much time I've put into them I'll be finally utilizing my Trello account. Similar to how my friend, Amber Aria, has her's set up here. Each commission will get their own card where they can check up on their piece's progress. Times will be recorded and WIPs posted. I'll also probably be streaming more often though no guarantees as I do have performance anxiety especially when I feel like a piece isn't going well.

However, I'll also still be taking limited slots, at least at first. Probably still only 5. I'm also going to continue to reserve the right to work in an order in which I feel more inspired. So it won't be first come, first serve. I tend to work through my queue faster this way.

I'm still considering a Patreon but I need to figure out a posting schedule for that. One step at a time. My goal for this year is to gear up to make it to Howlcon and sell prints and stuff in their Artists Alley in 2016. ^^

In other news, I know a lot of people expressed interest in a how-to guide for drawing werewolves. I still have every intention of doing this but those who've watched me for a while know I'm slow as molasses when it comes to doing stuff like that. But this year I have extra incentive as I'm more emotionally stable than I have been in a while, and I want 2015 to be the year when I really take off with my art.
