    Sounds like fun !

1 - If it appeals to my interests may it be the content, style, or just the setup like a funny scene or emotional art like something heartwarming or vent art
2 - If the statement has already been made in the comments or if it would just be a repetition. Like you can only say that you like that submission so often before it gets old haha
3 - Not really, but usually everything has already been said at that point
4 - Yes communication is always fun but it can't be expected, especially if they are just comments you can't really reply to or add anything like "great work"
    5 - Nope
6 - That you are a professional artist, without really knowing the person or talking to them it is hard to tell
7 - Can't think of anything right now

    • Link

That's how I feel when making comments too. Only so many times I can type "wow I like this!" so I wait till I have something more in depth to say. nods

  • Link

    1. When I have something snarky to say, hopefully humorous without being offensive

    2. When an artist captions a piece with some passive-depressive self effacing sentiment, or something else that's a total downer

    3. No, not if I see that the artist is still responding to comments. No sense in adding a comment if it doesn't seem like it will be read, though

    4. Yes, absolutely

    5. No, you're cool

    6. Haven't seen enough non-commercial journal posts or submissions to say for sure, but posting this questionnaire says a lot about you

    7. More porn/adult art please!

    • Link

Ah, I generally don't make many personal posts! I hate to clog what I consider a business space with personal crud, I like to keep it to a minimum. The place for a personal connection is the stream! I have my mic on and interact with everyone there, it's a fairly loose atmosphere there. nods

More adult art to come for certain, glad you are interested! =D

      • Link

I like asynchronous interaction like journals, comments, pms, etc because I can take some time to compose a response and I don't have to be in front of my computer at a specific time to participate...

Not that I'm complaining or anything, streams are great!

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
Usually, if a piece of art has some feature I greatly love or admire and I want to comment on it, I will, especially if there are no comments already. Also, any piece that asks for feedback and I can see something to improve upon that hasn't been mentioned.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
A lot of comments, usually, especially if they aren't responded to by the artist or commissioner. Majorly though, it's if a piece simply doesn't interest me.

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
As mentioned before, yes, but only really if they go unanswered by anyone. I don't want to make a comment that's never seen.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
You're psychic :P Yes, very much so.

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
Usually, the better artists are more intimidating, but an informal description (talking about what the artist likes about the piece, background info, etc) usually breaks the ice. You do that, so I'm not hugely intimidated.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
That you enjoy your art and what you do!

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
None really, aside from keep it up; that means the art, and interacting with your audience. It's all very much appreciated <3

    • Link

You're right about that, I LOVE making art! When I'm done with my work week of doing commissions, I do personal art. I can't seem to do anything else with my time. XD

      • Link

That right there is a key ingredent of a great artist. Keep up the good work and don't let the "trolls" of the fandom get you down. :-)

  • Link

    1. If I enjoy a particular submission more than usual from that artist. Your work is all very good, and I feel like if I commented on everything I liked it'd get spammy. Or, if I notice something I can give critique on, if I know it'd be appreciated.
    2. Flip side of 1, if I've posted a lot of comments recently, or if I notice an anatomy flaw or something and don't know if pointing it out would be appreciated.
    3. Somewhat? If what I have to say has already been said a lot, I am more likely just to post a comment agreeing or not at all, I suppose.
    4. If I can see that the artist is expressing appreciation for all their comments, that could encourage me to comment, but otherwise it doesn't really motivate me to comment more or less.
    5. Not more so than anyone else.
    6. I'm a fairly recent follower, so I haven't really formed any impressions of you!
    7. Keep doing what you're doing. :)

1 - If I feel like I have something meaningful to say about the content, method of application (so my thing about texture and brushstrokes), or something of the sort.
2 - If all I have to say is 'PRETTY' or 'Looks good' or something that feels kind of...half assed when I say it? Not that I don't love getting these kinds of simple comments, but I feel like I'm somehow cheating my artist friends if I can't say something more than that?
3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments? It depends! If I know the artist personally I will or if I know they respond to comments on their stuff a lot I am more inclined to leave a response as well.
4 - Oh look, I already answered this!
5 - Why? You're the lovely Eski. Why would I be intimidated by your loveliness?
6 - You are lovely and inspiring (and I find myself trying to mimic your build up value method lately since it really helps me I think uwu <33). Also you like tea (what a weird thing to like. Tea. Next thing I know you'll have a kitty with a funny 'L' name like this other weird artist I know named Pach.)
7 - I love you, keep being fabulous, and I look forward to when you can Patreon/Teafeather it up!

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
--If I've commented on something before from an artist and received a nice response, I'm more likely to comment. I'm really shy about commenting on anything unless the artist and I are friends, so if I do and get a nice reply, I'm gonna feel more comfortable commenting in the future.
Also, people being jerks in comments to a kind/talented artist. I don't know, maybe I'm being dumb or something, but if I see that in the comments section I'm a lot more likely to comment to defend/cheer up the artist, even if we've never spoken at all before.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
--Rude comments from the artist. Hundreds of compliments (why comment if I'll just be rephrasing the same thing?)

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
-- Depends on the comments there. Lots of rude/negative responses will make me want to send the artist something positive. Lots of positive comments, well, see above.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
--Sometimes. It really depends on my mood, what with being a shy twerp.

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
--Only slightly, and it's not because of you as a person! On the contrary, I find your personality really endearing and have since I first followed you forever ago on Furaffinity. I'm always a little intimidated by artists with your level of skill because your art is SO GOOD and inspires me to try to get better with mine, but I'm always nervous attempting to talk to them because of the skill gap. It's a self esteem thing, nothing against you personally :)

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
--From what I've seen over the time I've followed you on FA and Weasyl, I like what I see. You're a friendly artist with a fondness of tea (mmm tea) and really creative characters and worldbuilding. You really enjoy doing your art.

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
    --Not really, no :) Just keep doing you; you're great the way you are ^-^;

1 - If it's art of original character or a webcomic or some theme I find interesting (but usually not fanart) or I see that the artist did some major step in a new direction, I rarely just say stuff like "nice picture".
2 - If I see that the artist doesn't reply to comments.
3 - Not if the artist is talkative. But huge amounts of comments (probably over 40) do make me wonder if the artist wants to talk about it by now.
    4 - Yes!
5 - Not really but I rarely can think of anything interesting to say.
6 - I try not to assume too much. You're definitely professional and you do a lot of paid work so sometimes I get a feeling that I don't really get to know you as a creator, I just see your (definitely impressive) skill used in ways customers like. There's nothing wrong with it but I'm looking forward to that development of your original content you mentioned in an earlier journal.
7 - Nah, not really my place. Even people who know someone sometimes advice them rubbish, let alone a total stranger...

  • Link

1 - Usually, I only comment on things that I really feel like I have something meaningful to say on. I really don't like going "Well, would you look at that." I would rather be able to point out something in the picture specifically that I like, and why I like it.
2 - Artists that don't have a good attitude towards their work/subject matter really make me not want to communicate with them. Self-deprecating humour is fine, but bashing your own art looks more like attention-seeking behaviour than anything. On the other hand, why else do we post online?
3 - Yeah, I mean, someone has probably already said what I'm going to say, right? But sometime I go through and see if anyone's pointed out what I liked yet.
4 - It does feel good to know the artist is reading the comments. But I can understand why artists don't want to reply to each comment if they get dozens. Sometimes "Thanks for the comment!" is just as well implied.
5 - From the streams and your commentary I would say you're not intimidating at all.
6 - I get the impression that you really enjoy new subject matter and techniques. That's always good! And you really enjoy the creative process, which is something I'm understanding more and more myself.
7 - I'm probably the last person who should try to give you suggestions.

Now, I need to actually start commenting more than once a month. I really like getting comments, so I need to give a lot more of them.

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
When it REALLY makes me think or feel something, so much so I feel it'd be a crime not to comment
2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
Usually the description (or often lack thereof) the artist gives
3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
    Yes
4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
    Yes
5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
Sort of, because your art is of such high quality, which is intimidating for reasons I don't fully understand
6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
You probably respect and love nature a great deal
7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
Not that I'm aware of -nods-

  • Link

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
If I find the submission to be unusually great, or if I want to contribute something that can't ever or won't ever be contributed by someone else.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
Most everything. By default, I don't comment on submissions. I only consider commenting under special circumstances.

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
No, not discouraged, rather complacent. With a lot of comments, I'm confident that my intended contribution have been or will be given by someone else, so there's no need for me to comment.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
    No, that's irrelevant.

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
No. I see no reason to be intimidated. Although, I've yet to have a reason to approach you.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
    Skilled professional.

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
No. I'm not in the drawing business.

  • Link

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
I try to comment when I fave a picture or I will comment if there's something about the picture (or artist description) I feel I can say something interesting about.
I will tend to comment more on artists who comment on my own work for the social side too. (I see commenting as a social thing more than anything else)

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
If the artist gets a lot of comments and doesn't reply to any of them, I usually assume they're too busy to respond or don't like to etc. So I try to focus more on artist who don't get a lot of comments or artists who do reply to a number of the comments already received.
The other thing that stops me commenting is if I know the artist is one who regularly deletes artwork to keep their gallery current. There doesn't seem any point wasting time and energy commenting when it'll just be deleted.
The final thing which is the biggest reason for not commenting is lack of time/energy, also I'm very bad a commenting and sometimes I can't think of something worth saying or get complete brain blank!
Also a number of artists have expressed that they don't like short generic comments and as I'm rubbish at thinking up good comments then I don't want to annoy artists by leaving lame comments.

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
Yes, unless I see the artist is replying to some of them. I don't want to burden an artist who's drowning in generic comments, I'd rather comment on an artist who doesn't get many comments or someone who will appreciate it more.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
Yes, though as I'm not very good at commenting and tend to do one sentence 'that's awesome' comments I don't expect the artist to reply (unless I ask a question or something specific that requires a reply).

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
A bit but it's not personal (I have avoidant personality disorder). I find it difficult to talk to anyone and I get intimidated easily by people I feel are more skilled or admire etc.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
I mostly see the business side, you come across as professional (polite, organised, putting out good artwork in timely manner) . I commissioned you in the past and was very happy both with the interaction and the art. You also seem very buy but friendly :)

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
Is there something/s in particular you wanted suggestions on? (A bit of a vague question XD)

  • Link

1: Quality/content of the piece, particularly if it's something I especially enjoy or reminds me of a story/anecdote.
2: Again, quality/content. Something especially low quality, low-brow, or that just doesn't set well with me.
3: Somewhat, mainly as I feel that maybe the artist is getting overwhelmed with comments.
    4: Yes.
5: No more than any other artist, so no, not really.
6: Don't really know to be honest, other than talented.
7: Nothing comes to mind, except keep it up.

1 - If it's a submission by a friend artist, an artist I really like or just a very good picture, I tend to comment.
2 - If the picture already has a zillion comments and if I can't really say much about the submission.
    3 - Yes.
    4 - Most certainly.
5 - No not at all, though I have not yet approached you but I'm guessing you're a nice person.
    6 - You are generelly well-mannered and good :D
7 - Keep doing what you are doing, cause it's really good! xD

Saw this around a few times, been thinking of what I'd say to it!

1- I'm motivated by a few things, but the two primary ones are if there's something about the piece that really just grabs my attention, whether it be purely some kind of appeal I can't describe, or an incredible attention to detail, or something like that. The second one would be a little bit of the first, combined with if I'm familiar with the individual posting it! The fandom is very social for me, and I like to comment on things that my friends post :P

2- Usually if there's something that makes me uncomfortable about the individual posting, the content itself, the nature of other comments being posted, or any combination of those three. That's pretty much it for what would 'demotivate' me from wanting to post, is some form of discomfort.

3- Lots of comments on a piece usually doesn't discourage me! I used to feel that, but now if the criteria for part 1 is met, then lots of comments don't usually discourage me.

4- Definitely! It's not a requirement, but having some form of social interaction around a piece can be a big motivator, even if it's just a simple "Thank you"

5- Pfffft you, intimidating? I do have the advantage of having gotten comfortable around you and others in your streams, but a while back I was a little intimidated before I was able to lurk around in your streams and get to know you better!

6- I think being in your streams gave off the best impressions of who you are, and that included being very professionally minded in regards to commissions and customers in general, but also very friendly and open (within reason) towards those who you interact with, sensitive to the feelings of others with a desire to keep your environment a friendly place as demonstrated by you being an excellent stream host, and of course being a huge science and tea nerd :D (I got a new tea infuser that's WAY better than the one I used before!)

7- All I can say is keep doing what you're doing, and keep that awesomely positive attitude that I keep seeing! Your desire to continue to improve is awesome, and you seem to have things planned out very well for your future, so I just hope I can keep seeing your art and hang around with you well into the future! :3

    Also, DRGNS!

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
If I feel that I have something relevant or humorous to say.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
If my comment would just consist of platitudes with no real value to the artist(s) or anyone else.

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
Depends on the situation, but typically yes.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
Yeah, because it means I know the artist is reading them and generally cares what followers think.

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
Not at all! You come off as a very pleasant person, and you care enough about your followers to stream and actually chat with and take/give advice when we offer/ask, as well as help with completely un-art-related things.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
Pleasant, somewhat eccentric (not a bad thing!), and generally a good person.

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
    Nothing!

  • Link

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission? Generally I'll comment if I feel I have something to add, or if I really like the piece for some reason
2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission? Large number of comments, large number of stupid, silly or drama comments
3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments? Not necessarily, but it makes it harder to add something meaningful to the image - I will jump into a discussion thread though so it's a mixed bag of encourage/discourage
4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments? Yes, very much so
5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why? No.
6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)? I think you project a professional image and someone I would trust doing business with. I think part of that is your method for drawing art and part of it is that you don't always do porn
7 - Any suggestions you want to give? Nothing I can think of right now

  • Link

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
If I like it, if it stood out from the crowd in some way, or if it got zero comments and I feel it deserves more attention. (Though that's usually only with "small-time" artists who have little fan base (yet). ) Whatever I want to see more of, I try to encourage.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
Anything that has everybody and their pet commenting already, or if the tone of the previous comments is nothing like what I had in mind to say. (or the art is some fetish porn I'm just plain embarassed to admit I like...) ((speaking of which, there's a certain werewolf I should have left a comment on...))

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
yes. What's one more voice in the "fan club?"

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
yes. It makes the person seem more approchable, friendly. Even if its just a generic "thank you".

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
A little bit. when art goes beyond a certain level of quality, I start to feel like it requires expert "art critic" feedback, which I can't give. I don't have the "artist's eye" for it. Then if there's porn of that level of quality, it becomes even more awkward.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
You seem to love to make impressive and detailed landscapes, possibly a background in traditional painting. You like fantasy but aren't afraid to get deep into sci-fi. You put a lot of thought into the setting and characters of what you draw and it shows in the details. You're also a fan of Dr.Who (judging by the Police Box that has made appearances in the background).

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
Keep up the good work! I've enjoyed it so far.

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?

Awesomeness. For example, lighting, stars, dragons, mice.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?

Jerkass artists. Depression. A lack of things to say about the submission.

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?

    A bit yep.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?

Yes, knowing things get read helps.

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?

No, you're really cool. Plus I'd already commissioned you a couple of times before the lingerie one, that might've been more odd as a first one.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?

Rational, caring professional. Also fun to hang out with.

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?

Do that collab with Bagheera! Also draw more mice. ;)

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission? When there is something particularly unique about the concept or style.
2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission? When it is a standard item like a badge. When it is an artist who is quite good (like you) and I feel like I could comment on every submission and feel redundant.
3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments? Not necessarily. I think the artist would probably enjoy feedback in any quantity. I am sometimes intimidated if there are no other comments.
4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments? I think it's fun to hear back but if I have something to say, I will say it anyway.
5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why? I just find your work intimidating! From what I have seen in your comments and submissions, it seems like you would not be intimidating to talk to.
6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?Talented but not egotistical. Working for the joy of art and to appreciate what you create
7 - Any suggestions you want to give? I would love to see more "Little Places". It is such a cute and unique idea.

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
I suppose it's when something catches my attention more than usual. I like having semi-specific compliments, otherwise I'd say, "THIS GOOD ME LIKE" an awful lot.
2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
    See above.
3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
Not at all! The more the merrier.
4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
Not necessarily. I assume most artists whose art I comment on at least reads most, if not all, of their comments so that's satisfying enough.
5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
Only when you roll up your sleeves. Gun shows intimidate me sometimes.
6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
I picture you as an eccentric artist, living in a studio bungalow above some bread bakery. You wear beads in your hair and sandals on your feet, and your place often smell of patchouli oil. And tea.
7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
Lay off the patchouli oil. In all seriousness, I think you're doing great. You art and style are always improving and you seem to handle the professional side of it with much grace. Keep at it!

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?

I don't comment a lot due to time, but when an artwork is really impressive, like feels like the artist really pushed themselves to make something new and better than what they have done before I usually comment. I comment more on friend's art who are not as popular too, because I know they need to be encouraged more so than someone who usually gets 15+ comments on an artwork. Also when the artist talks about what they were thinking about when doing the artwork makes me want to comment on it more.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?

When it feels the same as everything else they have done, or it doesn't feel inspired. Also if the artist never replies to any comments on their submissions, I tend to assume that they do not read them so it feels pointless to comment sometimes.

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?

No, not at all. Maybe on deviantart, but I feel on something like FurAffinity the artist actually sees and reads the comments more.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?

Yeah, definitely. Especially in journals, if the artist starts a dialogue and actually takes the time to reply to every person who talked with them then I am more likely to comment on their stuff more.

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?

No, because of how you are in your streams - you talk to the people in the streams and are friendly so you feel more 'real' and approachable than many of the other artists I follow.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?

I like how organized your commission things are and how you have a whole terms that is very in-depth, you are very professional. I also feel that you are also a funny/intelligent person, from being in your streams. I think you have the best of both - perceived as professional and always getting things done, but also not being an art robot.

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?

I'd say the artworks that I like of yours the most are when you push yourself beyond what is normal/natural for you to do and improve because of it. Like trying out new things or trying a different technique or different coloring style. I think sometimes artists start to not improve at as fast of a rate when they stop experimenting and trying to do things differently. You do a lot of really long pieces that take many hours to do, but one of the things I have found that are really good for getting better quickly is just doing 1 hour pieces where you do something completely differently than before, like maybe trying to do a 1 hour master copy of an artwork from an artist you like - but forcing yourself to do it in such a short span of time. I think these kinds of exercises open up styles to potentials that just doing the same kind of thing doesn't allow for.

Maybe this isn't like suggestions on how to get more comments, lol, but it's just something that I think is a good thing to think about anyway.

Swiped this from ViralDivinity, seemed like fun! I filled it out on their page, fil out only if you feel like it/have time. <3

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?

If its a pic that captures my attention/interests to let the artist know its a nice piece of art, or if its an artist who seems to get few favs or comments to give them some encouragement.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
If the submission already has tons of comments but mostly just on the order of 'nice pic!', if they're a bit more indepth I'll probably throw my penny in (no, I'm not paying two pennies, damn expensive forum!), also if the artist never replies to comments or has a bad attitude

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
As above, depends on the nature of the comments!

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
Jawohl! Its always nice to get a little artist/watcher interaction

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
Well I wouldn't like to run into you in a dark alley... j/k no, you come across as very pleasant and approachable

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
That you're a very smart, well read, down-to-earth and interesting person, your streams attract like-minded people (no idea how I stumbled in there lol) and its always a pleasure to watch great art come together with thought-provoking conversation (oh and cute like dog-bird thingies!)

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
    Can't think of any!

Whoa lots of responses, but I'll give it a go!

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
If its one that really touches me or I think its really great and doesn't have many comments I'll usually say something. Also if its work by a friend or someone I know well I might say something so they know I looked at their work.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
Usually just when there's already a sea of comments. But I'm pretty shy in general and often don't feel compelled to comment.

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
Less discouraged and more that I think I won't have anything to say that hasn't already be said.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
A little bit but not loads. If someone doesn't reply that's okay by me.

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
Ahaha a little bit before we talked some. Usually I'm nervous about approaching artists I respect but after initial contact its less bad.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
Its hard to say... you strike me as someone industrious with a sunny disposition.

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
Not really a suggestion but I'd like to know more about your characters. :)

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
I normally comment when I use something for reference or I feel that I have thoughts, feedback, or opinion that might be relevant for the artist.
2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
    me not being motivated.
3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
Slightly, but this plays little into if I comment overall.
4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
    Absolutely.
5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
Nope, we have chatted in streams before. I love your streams, your art, and seeing you at work. Additionally, I always love your music choices. :)
6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
That you have a cat. I seem to remember a cat. I think I remember a cat with asthma that needs occasional steamy environment to relax and soothe lungs. Other than that you give off a friendly impression.
7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
Relax and don't forget to breathe.

1 - BOY HOWDY I actually really want to comment on almost anything that comes into my messages, because a lot of it is really good,
2 - but I feel like I have to say something very specific about each one, even if I don't know what specifically I like about it. I can't come up with a distinct comment for each submission I want to comment on, and it feels impersonal! Or sometimes, like with this comment, I start writing it and then move onto something else in the middle of it and leave it to rot in one of my browser tabs for a few days, haha oops
3 - Only sometimes, especially if what I would be saying is something that other people have already said.
4 - I don't really think about if the artist replies or not, just because sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, and sometimes it's inconsistent! I know they usually appreciate comments even if they don't have the time to get back to everything
5 - Not really, you seem pretty cool in general!
6 - I get the impression that you're always busy and productive, and I don't know if you actually are, but if you were I wouldn't be at all surprised. You seem like you wouldn't be the type to goof around a whole lot
7 - I don't really have any suggestions, I don't think. Except, maybe when you do personal stuff, feel free to write as much as you want about the purpose/background/content of it and such, because personally I think it's a lot easier to comment on stuff when there's a lot of background info. If it's a pain in the butt to write that stuff, though, don't worry about it!

1.What motivates you to comment on a submission?
It's emic in that I know my response will be appreciated by the artist.

2.What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
When the artist is an asshole...or if maybe my mind is just blank on that particular day. I try to leave comments on most art I have in my watch if it catches my attention, so artists can know they artwork was enjoyed. I hope the same from other artists.

3.Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
No, but I am more likely to leave comments on art that doesn't have any, I hate to think it was overlooked when it deserves attention.

4.Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
    Yes.

5.Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
At first, given your popularity, but not now :D

6.What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
You are a super nice person!

7.Any suggestions you want to give?
No - just share your secret to streaming success!

1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
The beauty of the artwork created.

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
Usually topics which I'm not a fan of, but then again, if I can see it in the thumbnail, I don't look inside it.

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
Sometimes, once there are a whole heap, the propensity to read them all might be diminished.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
    Oh, definitely!

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
    No, not at all.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
You're confident, understanding, kind and very professional. I also see you're in LinkedIn. I don't know why LinkedIn asked me if I knew you, but it might have seen an email from my paypal somewhere.

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
    Continue to be awesome!

    I've done this before :)
1 - What motivates you to comment on a submission?
Really just liking it is enough to provoke a comment from me :)

2 - What demotivates you to comment on a submission?
If I have nothing to add. I'm not an artist so I don't feel comfortable giving critique, unless there's something that really stands out to me or there's something going on in the submission that I know a little about. Only so many times an artist wants to hear "Great work!" I think XD

3 - Are you discouraged to leave a comment if the submission already has a lot of comments?
Sometimes: Read the above answer. I do at least like to let them know that I like it and why I like it, and I'm sure they appreciate it regardless.

4 - Do you feel more inclined to leave a comment in a submission if the artist usually replies to its comments?
Kind of. It's nice getting some back and forth from the artist, but I'm usually also not bothered if they get a lot of comments and they just don't see mine or if it takes them some time to get around to responding.

5 - Do you find me intimidating to approach? Why?
Can't say that I do. The only time I'm ever nervous about approaching an artist is if they're doing artwork for me, whether by commission or gift art or what, because I want to make sure I'm giving them the right info and everything. Although there have been some artists whose...personalities and even personal opinions on certain subjects clash with my own and when they touch on a subject like that, I will sometimes comment but I will do so respectfully. I don't mind debates but there have been a couple of artists who, despite having great art, I have unwatched because they were very argumentative and stuck on their opinions.

6 - What impressions do I give off (or, what do you assume about me)?
I don't know anything about you other than you're an artist, so I'm not under any impressions or assumptions.

7 - Any suggestions you want to give?
Not any that I can think of at this time :)
