Hello all! I've been offering a thing recently to several folks called a "slavestream". I feel like a good majority of you all are familiar with the concept, and that's rad! I think I'll be offering it in the future, and I'll be updating my ToS in a little bit to include it. I figure it would be a good idea to make a journal about it so peeps know all of what it entails for me!
Wha izzit?
So! A slavestream is essentially where you have control of what art I produce during a stream of a time specified prior to the stream. I can work on whatever you'd like (barring content I'm uncomfortable with, as listed in my terms of service), be it sketches, flats, or shaded work; paintings aren't allowed because they'd take far too much time to even reasonably complete it. I get paid by an hourly rate, and whatever is completed during the set period of time goes to the client. Currently, the rate is $30 per hour. I will set a timer (currently I don't have a means of putting it on the stream feed itself), and pause it when I go on break for whatever reason (such as food or bathroom), but will not be paused if I'm waiting on ideas or references or other information.
What does that mean?
How can I get the most bang for my buck?
Payment
The current rate is $30 an hour, with a minimum of 2 hours, and a maximum of 8 hours per session. The amount of time spent streaming will be decided on prior to streaming, and an invoice will be sent for the full amount before the stream. Payment will not be accepted in halves.
Opening for this kind of work may be limited to time off from school, as Iād need to dedicate time to prepare for it, as well as find a time slot that works for both of us.
Now, I'm not currently OPEN for these at this time, but I will try to open for them in the future; possibly during spring break. If there's any questions feel free to ask in the comments or via note/email. I'm sure I forgot something.
