I haven't really used the Friends feature that this site allows; I didn't really know how I wanted to use it or see a specific need for it personally.
Thinking it over, I've decided that I'm, very occasionally, going to post some WIP, personal art, or private (with permission) commissions as Friends Only.
The stipulation is that I need to kind of know who you are and trust that you're not going to repost things posted there or whatever. I probably will only allow people who I've spoken to at least a few times and am on good terms with.
Please don't be offended if I don't accept a friends request. Honestly I'm kind of insular and don't reach out to people very often, so it's not like that I don't like you or something, in all likelihood I just don't feel like I know you particularly well.
That could always change in the future.
Anyway, just throwing this out there.

i had no clue how it worked myself, but i think your use for it makes perfect sense bud :)
is also a good way of being like "private gift for friend A and B, just in case they want it kept private" as well i'd imagine. :3
i personally only use the friend thing or accept 'em if the person is really one i'd call a friend--like yourself or Fuzzy as fine examples.

I know I don't really fit into that category you've mentioned, but I think that's a pretty great way of using the friend feature :D

I hadn't even thought about what the "Friend" feature was for before. It just never occurred to me that some things could be done for only a certain group. It's not a bad thing to do that and I'll definitely respect your wishes.

That's a good way to go about it, and how I use it with others here. It allows you to show off some either WIP or more personal stuff to people you can trust to handle it. I know one artist friend in particular was getting annoyed when her personal work was getting inappropriate comments of invoking drama, despite her asking blatantly for neither in posting it, so the friends thing was a fantastic way around it. :)
