So, originally, my planned resolution for 2014 was to tell my folks that I'm not exactly what you'd call the heterosexual. However, there is also a realization I came to last week:

Pffft hahaha yeah right. Me, being assertive beyond a superficial level? That's a pie in the sky pipe dream if I ever heard of one. Maybe I'll just scale it back to "come out to my folks" for now and get better at standing up for myself slowly or something.

(Also, maybe I'll try to figure out a way to watch The Matrix without cringing at the pill scene; it's not the movie's fault that "red pill" has gone on to mean something terrible years and years later.)
