If you haven't heard, a transgirl named Leelah Alcorn took her life the other day after years of being bullied by her religious parents and forced into conversion therapy for being transgender. In her suicide note, she reached out and asks that we change the way the world treats transfolks.

It's heartbreaking to see another young trans life cut short. So I'm here to tell you:

It's NEVER too late to transition. It's never too late to find support. It's never too late to find acceptance. Things are bad, life sucks sometimes. But please know that you are not alone, and there are people who are willing to help, listen, and validate you. Your life means more than just a statistic. You're a human being, and you're wonderful. You have every right to be who you are inside and out. You're worth the time of day, and you deserve happiness.
