For some reason, 2014 was the year I inexplicably started doing art again. I think part of it is because my current job makes me so stressed out that I feel compelled to do something creative when I get home, and the other part of because I'm getting kind of sick of video games. Whatever the reason, I don't intend to stop in 2015, so I'm just going to think about what I'd like to get done.
- Keep studying the human figure. Probably the most important thing, since I still have a very long way to go in that regard.
- Start doing some mini-comics. I would like to do a full blown graphic novel length comic someday, but I need some practise if I'm ever going to get that far.
- Figure out colour. I like inking a lot but right now, I really dread the colouring step of my drawings. I need to get more confident there.
- Be more social. I've been out of the art community for a long time. I really need to find some people I can talk to about art. It's kind of hard for me, because I'm shy, but I've been getting better in that regard over the years. I dunno, I just need to take the plunge. Oh, maybe I could attend some cons after 13 years of being a furry who has never done that, also.
- Don't stop. I feel really good when I'm making art. But sometimes I get frustrated and it's hard to motivate myself to work. I just need to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Anyway, if anyone actually reads this, I hope you have a good 2015! Work hard, but don't work too hard.
