Two days ago I got in a tricky situation. I received an email from PayPal where they said they had withdrawn money from my account, but the reasons weren't explained there. I then accessed my account just to see I had -1900$ there.
I contacted them via phone call and they explained me the problem. See, I had transferred 1900$ to my bank account in November. Two days later I received a message from PayPal saying they couldn't transfer the money for some reason, and that the money was sent back to my account. I checked my account and the money was indeed there, so I made the transference a second time.
The problem is, the transference had been successfully made the first time, and when I transferred money again, it was made twice. I received double the money in my bank account (I also confirmed this). Of course, PayPal charged me back for their mistake, and I ended up with -1900$ in my PayPal account.
I didn't lose any money, but it's an annoying situation, and I have to make that negative value positive again.
I can't transfer money back from my bank account to my PayPal account because that service is still unavailable in my country and I can't pay with my credit card because my limit is not enough (because I don't use my credit card for anything - I only use debit card - I never bothered to increase my limit).
I explained my situation to PayPal and they fowarded my problem to the administration. They will be contacting me probably Monday or Tuesday next week.
I will probably need to make that value positive again through direct PayPal transfer, and that means commissions.
I will be opening for very few (no more than 5) Simple Scenes and Detailed Scenes next month, and maybe some sketches depending on the demand.
I created a simple Weebly page to host my commission information, so you can check it here: http://whitemantis.weebly.com/ (I will be adding more commission options with time, but for now, it has only those).
For fully rendered scenes, they are not first come first served, I will pick some that catch my interest the most, so you don't need to rush anything. :)
Thank you again for the support, and thank you even more if you managed to read this journal entirely.
Curious; if your paypal is linked to your bank account, will it pull money from your bank if there is none to pull from paypal, when sending a payment?
See, for me, if I have no funds in Paypal, it'll pull from my bank as a "backup source". If yours allows that too, you MIGHT be able to send the money to a trusted friend and then just have them send it back?
