Updates and stuff about generators! by Cowboypunk

So I've been pretty quiet for a month or two now. This is for a variety of reasons overwhelmingly biased towards the "assloads of work" option. Being dissatisfied with the vagary of many online generators, the lack of some generator subjects like food and plants, and needing/wanting some fairly specific ones for my own projects, I've started working on a series of random generators, which will be live on my website for all y'all to use on January 1.

Insofar, I have completed plant generators (a general one, a detailed one, and one for fungi), poison and drug generators, diseases and cure generators. I'm currently working on food generators, mostly finished with with drink and a flavor-anything gen. This one is proving especially complicated and difficult, though, since I decided to generate entire meals with specific ingredients. I have a bunch more planned that may or may not get done before Jan 1st, but will be listed as future additions.

Otherwise, I've been working on a music video and some more game stuff as well as setting up a patreon, which will also go live at the beginning of next month. I realize I'm pretty stinkin terrible at staying organized and not picking up a hundred thousand projects at once, but I'm trimming down my work and trying to sort it to better to streamline my continuous projects and make room for the shorter-term ones. I still have a lot of backlogged art to post here, so there may be a minor flood in the near future.

SO HOW YOU GUYS BEEN?

EDIT: ALSO, if you happen to have any requests or suggestions for generators, I'll consider sticking them on my to-do list!

:D thanks! I'm pretty excited about them, although this food one seems like its going to take waaaay longer than anticipated, haha. I just keep thinking of more things to add to it, augh! I'm also totally open to generator suggestions/requests if you happen to have any you're needing for your rp stuff!

Haha it seems like that one is going to be super fun, though!! I have always liked describing foods and stuff. For our group, the poison/sickness ones will be really helpful, for sure. One that I would really like to have is a general conflict generator. The closest I can find are ones that generate storylines, and they are usually far too specific. I am thinking something like one or two sentences. "MC is convinced to so something they said they would never do ever." "MC is mad at someone they usually get along with." "A group of thugs want something MC has." Maybe with a few less general things thrown in, like this thread? http://nanowrimo.org/forums/adoption-society/threads/176483 We are a modern group, so pretty much anything will work xD But it sounds like you have your plate full already! I was thinking of making something on a smaller scale for the group, I just need to get up off my butt and do it.

Oh man, that sounds like one that may get pretty invested, especially because of the way I'm structuring these generators, but it would also be super handy to have in general. I may not be able to make it before the end of the month when I post the ones I've got online, but I will totally stick it on a to-do list.

bwahaha right, I think it would be a pretty big project! I don't expect you to do it if you don't have the time (especially since it would be a just for fun thing), but at least you have the earworm, now. huehuehue

Naw man, I'm legit interested in adding it; I'd really like to build up this collection as another resource for writers and role players (and also for my own selfish purposes as a writer and role player, fufufu), so any suggestions are welcome - filling in any spaces left unfilled by other generator collections is definitely a goal for me here!
