FA keeps doing what it's doing, more will come.

I've noticed an increase in quality art too. I remember I could log in on a daily basis and see maayyyybe 4-6 new submissions on my radar, now I see at least 20 or so on a daily basis. O: Definitely a welcome change!

I've found a lot of talented artists on here too, seems like the percentage of high quality work here as opposed to DA or FA is quite a bit higher

Must be because;
a) its a new wave of people coming to this site and the site is young unlike FA and DA which have grown tired and stale
b) Weasyl is just the place for good artists :o

I've noticed uploads steadily increasing outside of FA downtime. The repeated issues with FA are probably helping, but I wonder if the recent "drama" on Weasyl hasn't had the unanticipated result of humanising this site. I mean it was well handled which is a plus for professionals (who're more likely to be well skilled), but also showed the site to be more than just a technical exercise. There are actual people behind it, and using it.

It makes me wish I'd paid more attention to the last mass migration, when the old VCL achive was superceeded by FA.

Apologies for replying to this a bit late, but I had to comment that this was the very first thing I noticed about the site and I found it alluring as an artist to see such varied and highly skilled styles. The next thing I noticed was the S on the HTTP and I appreciate that a great deal more than I thought I would. I'm new to this site, but it radiates a professionalism that may have the uncanny effect of drawing others in who seek a higher quality environment in general. This feels like an exciting opportunity and I hope the site continues to -mature- and not simply -grow larger-.
