​So I just saw a commercial for some new feature of a cell phone where you can make your text messages talk out loud. The demo showed it being used to portray sarcasm (something that can be hard to express in the written word) or even to make it sound like you're singing. I couldn't help but think "gee, it seems like such a pain to have to type a whole message out, THEN futz around with some sliders to make it sound like I'm talking...if only my phone could just transmit my own voice directly so I wouldn't have to go through all this BS."
