Holiday Celebrations: Music and Wishlists! by Ransom

[Current Music|Brandon Strader - Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game '1-Up' OC ReMix]

Hey, festive furries! December is upon us, so it's time to kick the holiday celebrations into full swing. Winter here, in the Canadian prairies, can be very long and brutal, but Christmas really helps lift my spirits. With the pretty lights, the gift-giving, and the get-togethers, I love celebrating Christmas, and doing so with a geeky spin. Let's kick things off with some music:

The Wintry OverClocked ReMix Playlist

Want to get the holiday mood started, but you've gotten a little tired of the same clichéd songs being played everywhere you go? Celebrate like a gamer with this playlist of Wintry OverClocked Remixes, including tracks from titles like Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart 64, EarthBound, and many more! While OCR has their official list of Christmas-themed remixes, it's rather short; I've expanded the playlist to include extra remixes of ice levels in video games, and songs that were remixed to have that ice level vibe, giving a playlist of wintry songs that'll last just over two hours. Enjoy!

Christmas Wishlists

I love the exchanging of cards and gifts over this holiday. Last year, I hit some technical difficulties and wasn't able to make my own Christmas card, but it looks like I'll be on track this time! In the spirit of the season, I've already begun distributing gifts to friends too. So what I want to know is, do you have your own wishlist? I have my own as well, though I don't expect here to actually get anything from it, particularly since most of the items are a bit pricey. I'm more interested in viewing all of yours; if you have a wishlist, please post it in the comments so that I and others can see it! When I did this last year, one of my followers had a novel in her wishlist that was in my personal library, so I mailed it to her. I was also able to spare a few bucks to get people games on Steam. I can't promise that I or anyone else here will be able to actually get you anything from your own list, but if you post it, there's still a chance that it can happen!

Please point your friends to this journal too: I'd love to see a large collective of wishlists get going (plus I love sharing that playlist above), to increase the chances that someone's wish can be fulfilled!
