Yesterday was my own personal New Year’s Eve.

Yesterday morning I turned 23 (apparently I am a morning baby - perhaps that explains my intense dislike of waking before 11am)

Thank you everyone for your lovely words and birthday wishes, but please remember: this is not just a celebration of me.

It’s a celebration of you, too.

Without you, dear reader, I would not be worth celebrating. Whether we’re old, old friends, simple acquaintances, or you’re one of the people dearest to my heart - you have shaped my life, even if only in the most infinitesimal way, and I love you for it. I would have little to celebrate without you.

Please remember to take care of yourself, and pamper and love yourself. Life’s not sure enough to spend it in any other way.
