Pnuvma by thelyinglark

(Noo-v-mah)
Pnuvma are a CLOSED species of mine I created a while ago and decided to now share with you!
They are gentle, swift moving creatures of nature. Pnuvma respect the environment, yet also feel as if they are one with it. They are fairly fast healers, and are able to heal the wounds of others (both plant and creature) by way of touch (through the hands). If a Pnuvma is spotted in an area, it is a sign of a clean environment, as these creatures are very sensitive to pollution.

Pnuvma live in every kind of climate, and their coloring changes as the weather does.
NOTE: their patterns, however do not change! Also, their colors don't change very drastically nor do they change instantly (so don't think you can just have your pnuvma any color if you were to adopt one)!!! Their coloring is more of a light or darker shade of what they already have and it gradually changes as the year ticks by (unless they live in some sort arctic or all summer like place)

Spring- Muted to dirty blonde shades in the hair. Brown or green eyes. (and other spring themed colors)
Summer- Rich to dark brown shades in the hair. Brown or green eyes. (and other summer themed colors)
Fall- Coppery browns, reddy browns, rich browns in the hair. Brown or copper eyes. (and other fall themed colors)
Winter- black to white in the hair. Gray or brown eyes.

Their fur have been seen in shades of white, taupe, tan, and brown shades.
Unfortunately, it has been discovered that there is a concentration of liquid inside their antlers that aids with their ability to restore things, so Pnuvma are hunted for their antlers (both female and males have antlers) where they are then drained of their healing fluid (while alive, the fluid from the antlers travels through the body and can be dispensed by the hands to heal others). Because of this, they have become an ever more elusive species, making their homes in the deepest parts of forests and mountains. Pnuvma that live in arctic conditions with darker hair colors are a very rare sight to see, as they are easily spotted and therefore easier to hunt. The Pnuvma that live in arctic regions have developed slightly larger ears than Pnuvma in other regions (and no if it becomes winter in another region or if a Pnuvma from another region moves to the arctic they won't just grow larger ears it's just in the arctic Pnuvma genetics).

NOTE: It isn't completely uncommon for Pnuvma to have other kinds of colors, too....the name of the game is camoflauge and if the Pnuvma tribe happens to live in a very lush environment, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Pnuvma that have green fur/hair. Pnuvma of other colors have been spotted, too to match other aspects of nature...such as flowers!

Their antlers and tail both serve as a way to balance themselves.
They love to make themselves up, wearing lots of jewelry and elaborately patterned clothing.
It is very popular to have long hair among the species, and braiding said long hair in complicated patterns is also fairly popular.
They live in small colonies.
They are pretty quick to flee (not very into fighting), and are actually known for their impressive speed.
Winter Pnuvma's fur is significantly thicker and more abundant than other Pnuvmas.

A healthy Pnuvma can live for about 500 years.
