Getting to Know People by Darshia
Hello everyone,
First off thanks so much to the people who've Favorited my work and follow me, It makes me so happy to know people even want to look at my work. Now on to what I wanted to talk about. So I was wondering, how does one get known around here? I'm still trying to figure out how to best promote me work around here, or even make some friends.
Also I am thinking about doing some free request for all the lovely people who appreciate my efforts. I just want to give to people. But mind you this will only be for Weasyl. I am not financially stable enough to actually give out freebies but for this moment I would like to. I will be doing really soon, probably for the thanksgiving weekend.

Yea, I really like this place too. I never really got into Furrafinity because of the interfaces. It was way too weird for me I guess, but I like it here because it's small at the moment. I will try to interact more, and divide up my time between here and DA, cause like I said, I really like it here XD.

Oh! Thanks a lot. But just wondering, when you say for free, what would you usually get in return for a promo? (Is obviously a noob)

Best way I've seen to get known is raffles and having people make journals leading back to your page or said journal. That's always a good way to promote yourself . Also posting works on a regular bases even just little things like sketches or doodles can go a long way :) commenting on stuff is also good.
Also glad to see you enjoy it here, I'm sure you'll get a good ammount of followers you have some awesome art x)

Raffles and freebies (raffle for freebies!) are a good bet just about everywhere for sure :) I've gained a lot of viewers over time from doing request and streams, in particular request streams haha

Promos definitely help, but the best thing is simply posting stuff and interacting with other's work! Like with most sites, really x3
The community here is still pretty small, but I predict it will be growing significantly over the next few months and years. :D That is my sincere wish. Because this place is pretty awesome!
