So I don't want to jump the gun too much by announcing a project before I've posted anything pertaining to it, BUT:

I've had a big personal project on the back burner for a couple years now, and it's finally grown out of the research-and-frantically-write-notes phase into the actual sketching phase.
Basically, this project involves the creation of many weird little "spirit" or "demon" critters based on personal symbolism and ideas about the places I call home and where my roots are.
I'm Polish-American, and I'm drawing from my local flora and fauna in New England as well as a bit of the Pomorze (Pomeranian) region of Poland for imagery, and drawing further inspiration from pre-Christian Slavic and Northern European mythological characters such as various house, field, and wood spirits.

I've done the first phase of designing and creating basic notes for these little demons, and I'm hoping to start sharing images in the next few weeks if all goes well. Ultimately I'd love to have these creatures running around as 3D felted critters too! For now, I'm going to keep brainstorming in 2D, and part of that brainstorming might just involve adoptables becoming available of some weird creepy-cute demons that lurk in the corners of kitchens or hide at the bottom of puddles in autumn.
