Hey all.

Been a bit since my last update.

Since August I've just been working a whole lot at the station, trying to work towards making my life situation a bit more stable than what the freelance life offers me. The first step towards that was accomplished when I finally was approved and I enrolled into my company's health care benefits program, which helps cover everything across the board including medical, dental, and vision. So finally I have some sort of safety net with the insurance if, God forbid, something happens to me or at the very least I can get regular check-ups to help maintain my health.

Aside from that we're just approaching a bit of a slower period at work. Since there's no baseball our shifts have gone down as is just the case with now the place operates and I've gone from working near 60 hour work weeks to about 30 on average. Unfortunately that's not really conducive to me being able to cover all my bills, so I've recently hooked up with another station and I'll start freelancing with them in the next week or so to help get some extra income. I figure if I can pull a couple of days over there a week I will be able to start putting money away again as I was during the summer.

Next month I'll finally get a change of pace in my life and I'll be going on a trip to Jamaica for a week. I've personally never been to the Caribbean and the only time I've ever been outside the country has been on a trip to London back in 2008, so I feel like I'm long overdue for an excursion like this. I'll be going with my girlfriend who I've been dying to see again since the last time I left her all the way back in February. Been a long time coming but thankfully all I gotta do is hold out for another month and a half and we can finally take our first real vacation together to relax away from the cold of winter and sit on the beach, sipping rum.
