Since the DDOS attack...how many commissioners are here?
I am trying to figure out where I should focus my posting/opening commissions since it seems that FA won't be back up for awhile. Neer is raising money for a host switch...we all know how that usually ends for us users.
Anyone active here?
Or is the art community getting massacred slowly.
It's insane. You would think these sites would have a better backup plan for in case something like this happened.
Most of them went down but eventually went back up. Inkbunny and weasyl got back up. I haven't heard from sofurry. But I think FA is getting most of the blunt of this. It's been down longer then there others and I feel it's getting most of it. Since FA has been kind of the Icon of the furry fandom I think it's getting its butt kicked around as some kind of example. But thats my theory.
Oh and DA got attacked too but there so big they just kind of flex their muscles and it fell off. xD
Also adding. I don't know how deep they got into FA but. ddos is basically they over run the severs with so much activity , or bots. Which to the point where normal traffic like normal users can no long enter these sites. The trouble is these signals are coming from so many directions and places. They don't want to get normal users in the cross fire. I'm not a big coder etc but this methods basically a sort of internet form a civil protest. like people with picket fence post signs.

From my perspective as a Weasyl only user. The influx of commissioners here has vastly grown! since this attack began. Though I do not know if the "buyers" followed here as well. I feel once FA is fixed most will kind of go back. Though after its performance I don't know if it'll be in favor. FA was a go to place for buyers. I don't know if it's the same here though I don't know. I'm poking a stick at a mass that I can't see. I don't know if it's as strong for buyers to wonder here. From what I've read over my time most went to FA for profit while hanging out here to get away. When sites were normal and before this mess.
