Is this legal? Hard decision. by Hanzerpaws

I started puking like 10 minutes ago, I called into work immediately, knowing a stomach virus has been contagiously spreading in the store (It's a food service). The morning manager told me she wont accept my call-in because it's Friday even though this is 8 hours before my shift.

Is that legal? And even if not, is it morally right to risk spreading the virus by cooking the food while sick?

Someone give me an opinion, because now Im stressing out!

Is this legal? Hard decision.

im not sure, but thats up to you, people carelessly spreading diseases seriously infuriates me, which is why i got horribly ill a month ago, and felt destabilized till some days after i was finally cured

I'm just worried because if all the employees are spreading it between us, then what if its contaminating the food or customers or a combo.

NO. DO. NOT. GO. please tell me you didn't go. I know it's hard and they need help but that is unpleasant and highly contagious. if you ever want to stay busy, don't you dare come while that sick. Food is very strict with its laws, you contaminate it and it is the worst thing that could happen.

Ended up going only to make them feel like shit and plan on talking to the GM about this. Especially since I left to go home after puking in the trash for half an hour.
