The System is Down, and what I'm doing... by Yawg
I was going to wait until FA was back up to make this post, but as that might be a long time (and Weasyl is the only game in town at the moment), I'll post this here:
Mid-stream yesterday, my computer exploded. I'm admittedly being a tad overly dramatic when I say this. What really happened was my fan decided to no longer give fucks, at which point my CPU also decided to check out. The good news, I'm surrounded by computer savvy nerd fans who have helped me find the proper replacement fan. The bad news, I live in an area that is noticeably devoid of that replacement computer fan, so I've had to order it.
It could be here by Friday, but perhaps as late as next Wednesday.
I really, really hope my CPU didn't decide to pack it in as well... Because that will take extra time, and extra money I don't have...
On to more bad news, my lady-type Azh has fallen rather ill, and I've spent the day doting on her. Making her hot breakfasts and lunch, making drinks, and watching her cough up phelgm, the likes of which would have inspired HP Lovecraft. So I've been keeping busy.
My point is, I'm stuck without a computer for a week, FA's down for the forseeable future (again), and I have no way of getting the notes and reference material I need for my work.
So, let's do a little mini event here!!
I'll continue the Halloween event here, with a few minor changes:
1) I'll be doing everything traditionally, to be uploaded here and on FA when my computer starts working again.
2) No limits on monster types. Wide open for the rest of this week. Just comment on this journal to claim a spot, and send me a pm with reference (if and when available) and your PayPal address.
3) let me know if you'd prefer to be billed 50% now and 50% on completion, or if you're okay with me billing 100% up front. I'm moderately trustworthy.
4) There's no fourth thing. Once I've crammed more noodle soup down Azh's plegmy gullet I'll start reviewing the notes, and get to work.
5) Again, the monsters are wide open, you can order more than one, and the rating can be everything from G-Rated to 2Spoogy4Me

It's a nice coincidence how your computer access has been limited just as you need to devote more time to Ahz. I consider that a positive, or at least two negatives partially canceling each other out.
Okay, I'm going to ask for something that may push the limits of being a "character sheet" -- multiple views of ReNagamon. I'll note you here (if I can figure out how) with details.

Damn... another one with PC problems... I woudn't worry too much about the processor, they have a circuit in which, they turn off when they reach max temp (unless it's not specifien in the BIOS settings, which woudl be rather weird).
Hopefully, when your fan arives, your problem will be fixed.

the internet seems to have been under attack. Spent the better half of a week trying to salvage my machine due to a Gen Dropper infection.

That kinda sucks... and yeah, seems there are some new attacks out... That and hardware seems to ask for a short vacation recently, it's like whan had to do a reballing this days...
I really hope this is fixed, I'm sorry to hear this kind of news... I know that feel too...

I have no idea what that is. Have you tried giving your computer a tick bath? It sounds like something fish get D:

just had my machine take massive crap but some for where nice to get me back on even a tablet to get out of the 90s so hope things setting in but weasel seems fairly good it at least tells me when your streaming

As for computer, I know your pain. Recently had a Gen dropper virus sneak in and basically made my OS non functional. -

I hadn't seen this before I sent a note. Huh, I wish I could think of something else considering there are now multiple slot openings, but my first idea covers so much ground that anything else would seem like a step back (plus given how it's a more pricy one, I probably wouldn't want to stretch myself too thin I think). yeah I hope it's just the fan, I don't think either of mine work anymore so I just kind of stuck a normal one on top of the heat sink (fortunately the entire aluminum case of a mac-book is a superb heat sink, and since I had to yank out the monitor, that's even less heat).
anyways do we need to resubmit our commission descriptions if we were scheduled for the next 2 weeks and FA is still down considering you can't check the notes archives anymore?
