So I had a bit of a lucky break from life in general yesterday. My friend's aunt works at the hotel center where this con was taking place and subsequently asked if I wanted to go for free. Why pass up a free con? [/really bad student]

The fact that it's smaller than DragonCon is an automatic plus. Enough space to actually walk and run around but still busy enough to play. Before we could even enter, a couple of old men were trying to leash me. I can't tell whether or not they had ulterior motives, but Al wasn't having it regardless and we continued. At this point we're trying to find the "concierge desk" where our tickets were being held, but it didn't mean I couldn't entertain folks in the meantime. I managed to get a whole group of kids in on the fun. One was a holdout, so me and his father worked together to get him happy: He'd pretend to make the kid lunge at me, and I'd cower like the scared yorkie that I am. Worked like a charm. <3

After that and still before finding tickets, we ran across Skips and Mordecai from Regular Show. Cue an entire chorus of "Ooohhhhhh!" rumbling through the food court and surrounding halls. It was a magnificent moment in history to behold.

Another hour or so of walking around, picture taking, and all sorts of small-time foolishness, we secure the tickets with the help of a sympathetic con volunteer named Carl (thanks dude!). It's naturally too late for the Dealer's Den, but we managed to get to the Artist's Alley in time where we met StrayaObscura (http://strayaobscura.deviantart.com/). She offered to give us a discount if we guessed either her favorite video game or anime character. We were stumped on the game character so went straight to anime, where I learned we're both Gundam nuts! Who's the character, you may ask? You'll have to find out on your own if you meet her and want the discount! ;) Regardless, I shall wear my Mega X Charizard badge in honor of that fun meeting from now on.

Then we went out to roam the halls where we met more Furs! Kinny, a DHC suit, and Flux Deer, a Lacy and Nick suit, were there. Pictures and roleplay abound! (I was killed by some strange creature with an attached knife for a hand.) I met a new friend named Jaspers! (https://www.weasyl.com/~jaspers) Say hi Jaspers! I also got to wax social politics with wonderful faun Vivian. Always relieving to rant a little and pick someone else's brain. After a brief stint with Deadpool (he headlocked me), I also got in on some dancing action with some nearby people who were clearly more developed as dancers than I am, but one of them complimented my popping and taught me a way for learning a body wave. As someone who's been going at this alone and in the dark, to finally get real feedback and an actual compliment from another person was so relieving. Thank you guys -so- much!

Soon it was time to part, but clearly it wasn't time for con shenanigans to end. As me and my friend are walking along back to the entrance, she notes an entire group of people, led by another Deadpool, were staring at me. The moment she says "You're about to get jumped," they scream "Furry!" or something and rush me! I ran a good significant way into the building, slight blindness and all, and I noticed two guys were still gunning. I lose them around a pillar in con space, almost stepping on a poor guy, so I had to go back and shoulder punch the Deadpool who did it. xP Hopefully someone got that on camera.

Oh yeah, then we decided to get something to eat at Steak n' Shake, and I freaked out the employees a bit. One dude said "screw it" and took a selfie with me. So I've been uploaded somewhere!

So that was my day yesterday. Always great to find an excuse to suit, but now it's back to the grind- assuming I can find my tablet pen (internal screaming).
