I feel like I've needed a change when it comes to this "fandom". So I've made something of a rough plan:
-Get myself "off" of FurAffinity.
--I plan to take a staggered approach to this. I'll start by ceasing to post commissions on there, then slowly cut down my watches by following artists elsewhere (here, Tumblr, etc).
--Some folk may have a downer on Weasyl, but I kind of like it. If only more people used it, right?
-Figure out what I'm doing with my characters.
--I like what I'm doing with Ruck. He's filling that "fantasy & exploration" niche really well, and I've grown quite attached to him as a character.
--Dubs is at an impasse. I feel like I've lost touch with what made him special to me, and I'm trying to figure out how to remedy that.
--A possible third character who's a complete deviant/sex-crazed animal?
-Clean up my friends list.
--This goes for all forms of social media I use. I have a lot of people on there I don't really talk to or are only people I "know of" and don't really "know" all that well.
I spent an hour typing this out and thinking about the whole thing. This is an hour I could've spent sleeping. But, at the same time, I would've done nothing instead.
Time well spent.
It's a start. I basically want to cut the cord with FA as well as that place no longer makes me feel at base. Not to mention its a nice break from the furry shat. Like you said, I wish people used Weasyl more, but nowadays I find talking to folks on Twitter easier.
