Title kind of says it all. Due to being way too busy in RL, summer has flown by without getting to enjoy it much. There was a "vacation" week back in July. And a week in late August. Most of the July one was spent doing little things around the house and one day with wife playing tourist in Portland (ME). I spent half of the August one volunteering in the museum of a local agricultural fair. The second half had to count as my summer vacation, spent with wife camping in celebration of our fifth anniversary.

But where did the rest of it go? I know where the first half went. It got sucked down like the first half of the year by work preparing to move with the move date getting bumped a few times.

At least the new office has windows. I'm finding I need to close my shade to keep from being distracted after working in a cube farm for many years. If I don't close the shade, the busy squirrels (several grays and at least one red) gathering acorns draw my attention. Even the trees are starting to show color. Fall already? I was swimming in my pool a week ago today with a pool temp of 75F (24C). There was no way I'd dip a toe in it today as it's dropped to 62F (17C) and that's after the sun beat down on it all day.

Portions of Maine (fortunately, not here in Disgusta) and most of New Hampshire and Vermont are under a Frost Advisory tonight (temps will dip below freezing), which is a few weeks early for around here, but not unheard of. Again, where did summer go? (sigh)
