Leaving Weasyl by Dmitry
Hey Guys,
So, I've been reading other's journals and I've realized, Weasyl is totally dead. All the people I follow on here, I follow on FA and it's just a bunch of double postings and no comments or favs here. It's just more work for me to do and I don't really want to do it. The layout and interface of this site is awesome, but it's just dead, completely. So, if you want to continue following me, come to http://www.furaffinity.net/user/dmitrydraws and I'll see you there. If not, it was great talking with the few of you I got to know and hopefully our paths cross in the future.

FA is a horrible place and the only way Weasyl will die is if people like you leave instead of supporting and using it!

I want to use it, but these are the first comments I've gotten in over 2 months. I post pretty consistently....I get no traffic, feedback or anything here. I've never had a problem on FA, but I want to get to a point where I can build a customer base and take commissions and it's just not happening here. I'm not sure what else to do. If you have any suggestions, please tell me, I really want to know.

I've certainly noticed a general lack of activity. I don't receive many watches or favourites on FA, but on here you can practically see tumbleweed in comparison. I'd use this site a lot more if they had a list of categories for species and subject matter to browse from like on FA, instead you have to keep a mental list of tags to search for, and think carefully about whether the tags you're using are the same others are.

I still have faith that FA will drum up enough drama to send everyone running again eventually. I don't blame people for not paying attention to Weasyl as it is now though.
