Dreams by Zrcalo

I dreamt about birds.

I dreamt that I had a colony of lovebirds and cockatiels and cockatoos in my backyard. But that they had flown away because the aviary wasnt there.
I was with my mom, going to a swapmeet for pet items. Someone there had a HUGE dog crate they were trying to get rid of. I asked if I could have it. I was expecting to pay good money for it, but they gave it to me for free. I was ecstatic.

I took it home and sat it down in the backyard. I looked up at the tree, and at the wall. The wall where the lovebirds would nest. There were no lovebirds. The tree was also very old. It was a chinaberry tree.

I started to unfold the metal bars of the dog crate, and it kept getting bigger and bigger. I finally get it all unfolded and it's essentially a rotunda. I take a step back and look at it. Yes, this crate/aviary would be good enough to hold big parrots, but not small ones. I would have to put wire mesh around it. Then I thought... wait a second. if I wanted finches, I'd have to get the finer mesh. So I made a decision to get the finer mesh.

This all took place in my childhood home. With all the original trees, and visuals of things being bigger than they actually were.

I then dreamt about fish.

After I was done with the aviary, I saw that all the water under the trees was beginning to dry out. Evidently this water had been there for a very long time, and fish had laid their eggs in it. So it was teeming with baby fish. I paid no attention to it.
I wanted a different fish tank. So I began setting up a 10 gallon so I could go to the store and put store fish in it.
Once I got the tank set up, a good portion of the water under the tree had dried up. It made me nervous. So I went over there, and it was drying right up before my eyes. I quickly scooped out the baby fish I saw and put them into the 10 gallon aquarium.
I wasnt too worried though, I was more concerned that they would escape, as they would fly up into the air to find a different place to live.

These were mostly endlers and a few guppies. Evidently they would fly down to the pools of water underneath my tree and lay eggs. These eggs would hatch and the babies would live in that water until they were old enough to fly someplace else.

I kept looking for the other babies. I dug into the soft soil and pulled it all back, to reveal dichondra. I felt it's soft leaves. Growing up, I would sit on the dichondra in the backyard, because it was softer than the grass. I would sit on it underneath the trees.

I kept looking for the baby fish, but I would only find one or two so often. Not the writhing mass that I had witnessed before when the water was higher. I was worried, so I put another 10gal outside near the tree so it would attract more guppies. I kept seeing adults flit around, and I used a net to catch them and put them into the water. Yes. I will breed my own guppies. Catch the adults, make them breed, and keep the babies. Perhaps I would put them in the aviary.

I also, before this dream, dreamt I was walking down the road with LoneCompanion. We were having a conversation. I dont remember what it was about. But I do remember a texture associated with it. brown rough carpet. I have no idea why, or what it means. It was a very long dream. About four hours. I then woke up, realized natasha wasnt next to me, and walked into the livingroom. She said I'd only been asleep for four hours and that she would go to bed soonish. So I went back to bed and dreamed about fish/birds etc.
