When you wake up like any other day, but it doesn't feel like any other day...
You turn on your computer and get spammed with messages on social networks;
Then you stop to think how many years have passed, and how many wrong choices you've made, and how you could've spent better your time;
But then you realize it doesn't really matter because you have met a lot of awesome people who like you anyways;
And they think you're amazing like that.
So you think, "today I'll get shit done! I will make my life better from now on!" for a brief moment;
But in the end, we all know everything will continue the same way in the next days and so on...
(at least that's how this day usually goes for me)
I remember this day having a lot more importance for me when I was younger. I'd anxiously wait for it, thinking about it months earlier!
Yeah, growing up sucks! But now, I think I've learned the true reason to celebrate this day. It is a day to be grateful to be healthy, to have a family,
to have friends. And of course, to take a little rest from our busy lives that often makes us forget to appreciate those good things in life.
