Leave of Absence by Rory
Hey everyone. You may have noticed on mainsite and forums that I am no longer tagged as a Weasyl administrator. This is an entirely personal decision, as I need a break of an indefinite amount of time to sort my life out and get situated on a better path. The rest of staff are understanding and I am welcome back at any time if it feels right, so please do not mistake my stepping down as being the result of any particular event. I'll still be around to check things every so often, but it's time to step back for awhile.
Thanks to all the wonderful people I've interacted with during my time on Weasyl, though. I wouldn't have applied and worked hard in the first place if I didn't want to help make a warm, welcoming community for creators and appreciators alike. If you want to keep in touch offsite somehow, let me know. I'll keep you all updated.

I'm glad you've chosen this path, if it was me I would've lied to myself and tell myself that I could manage instead of being realistic. Life always comes first, so you sort out everything you've gotta do. Weasyl will be here for many moons to come, and we'll be here when you come visit.
You take care of yourself friend, we'll see each other again. And of course, as always, safe travels for the road ahead :)

A bit past a year now since you've written this. You're not forgotten though, Rory! I still don't really understand what fully happened (other than your disagreement in the direction of the site), but I do hope life is treating you well. Here's to hoping you'll one day return, or at the very least visit. :)
