This is extremely important. Please get the word out. Since that posting, reporters have been assaulted and arrested, a media blackout has been declared, and police have fired tear gas cannisters and rubber bullets into the crowd. Spread the truth.

Things are more peaceful now, the St Louis county cops were removed and replaced with highway patrol, who are doing a bang-up job.

I'd like to mention to you that the family of the victim has requested the link to the picture of the victim's body be removed from that post; I dunno if you've seen it or not but it might be wise to edit the post.

It's been amazing to see the destruction of property as well. Reddit's going crazy over blaming both sides - the overzealous cops, and the looters.

There were only looters on Monday and it was a small handful of people.

I don't know the current state, but I hear that recently the state of Missouri took control of security away from the St-Louis police that had turned the place into a warzone.
Now it's state troopers instead and apparently things are more peaceful(they also didn't show up in armored vehicles, riot gear and hardware you'd expect from the army, too).
