Sketches! by Toberkitty

Hey all, so I've been really into doing makeup sketches lately. It's good practice for me, and it gives me a chance to try out new designs or variations of old designs before actually going to makeup. I recently made a version of the blank makeup template that has my face on it, which is extremely helpful vs the generic one you've seen me use so far. I'll still use the generic one, but the one with my face will be used for makeups that I know I will be applying to my face sooner or later.

One reason why I've been doing sketches lately is that I've been diagnosed with chronic allergic conjunctivitis in my eyes. It's been affecting me for two weeks now, and I haven't been able to wear any makeup or contacts (even just regular cosmetic makeup) this whole time. I won't be wearing any until it clears up, unfortunately. So, for now, I have to sate my desire for doing makeup with sketches. It sucks, but there isn't anything I can do about it. At least I'm enjoying making these sketches, anyway.

I'm sorry for your conjunctivitis - I hope that clears up soon and you can get back to your canvas, so to speak. In the meantime though, I look forward to seeing further sketches from you!

Thank you! The worst part is not being able to wear any makeup at all. I mean, I don't wear it every day, but when I go out I want to look pretty. Ugh.

I'm sure you do, even plain-faced, but I can understand wanting to pretty up a little. As I said, I hope things improve good and quickly.

Oh man, that stinks about the allergic reactions. I dread the day I would wind up with a latex allergy, though I do makeups infrequently unless I am performing. I hope your eyes clear up, in the meantime I will check out your latest sketches!

Thanks, Sam. I'm going to have to see an allergist as soon as possible. Unfortunately this isn't the only allergic reaction I've been suffering from in the past year. I've also broken out in hives for some unknown reason, and I have mildly itchy red bumps on my torso all the time. It wouldn't surprised me if they're all related.
