As of today, I am now OPENING my queue for commissions! I'd like to set a few ground rules that would take up too much real estate on my front page if left unformatted, so here they are, nice and pretty.
The Basics
- I will draw any ol' kind of character: humans, fantasy folk, aliens, furries, robots, you name it! See "Pricing" for further details.
- I generally don't draw my own characters interacting with other people's. Sorry!
- If you're commissioning art of someone else's characters, I'm going to contact them to make sure they're fine with things. This might spoil a "surprise" but it goes a long way to prevent hurt feelings.
- I reserve the right to refuse any request for any reason. Feel free to send me a note asking if I'd be fine drawing X or Y if you're not sure about it!
- I prefer working from image references. Even if your character only exists in text, a Google Image Search or two can go a long way. Let me know if there's something weird going on with any references you send me.
Pricing
- Complex characters, elaborate props, detailed poses (including fight scenes or sex) and backgrounds all cost extra based on how much extra time they'll require.
- Multiple characters cost extra.
- If you would like your commission to be anonymous, I can provide this for free! Please mention it when you contact me or I'll include your handle in my queue list.
- If you don't want your commission posted at all, the fee is 25% of the price. Can't catch clients' eyes without new work.
- If you want something not mentioned on my pricing list (hand-drawn frames, spot color, etc.) feel free to ask about it. Note that I am not currently offering full-color pieces.
Edits
- Non-budget options receive two free edits during the prelim/sketch stage, as well as one minor edit on essentially-finished work.
- Extra edits will cost more depending on how drastic the changes are and how many edits are requested.
- All pieces are white-balanced before delivery. If your finished file has any artifacting or dark patches I missed, I'll fix these for free!
Payment
- By default I work through PayPal. This is going to be a digital item, so don't ask for a shipping number!
- I only start working on art once I receive payment.
- Anything $20 or less can be paid all at once after we've agreed on the subject matter, anything more than that is paid half at the beginning and half before I send the high-resolution file.
- Please don't pay until I've asked you to!
- If you cancel a commission I've started working on, I won't refund the first payment unless I've put no/minimal time into the art.
- I reserve the right to finish cancelled commissions however I like as personal projects, though highly-recognizable characters can be changed.
- If for some reason I cannot complete a commission, I will refund your first payment based on how much work went into it.
Communication & Delivery
- I prefer to keep in touch with commissioners to let them know the status of their art. This can be via e-mail or Weasyl notes. My address is not on this site, so note me if you want it!
- By default I e-mail finished files. I can also provide a temporary Dropbox link by request, though the availability of said depends on how much free space I have on my computer.
- I will not post art to Weasyl, Tumblr, or any other gallery site until I know you've received it. See above for notes on anonymous or private commissions.
- I'll be sure to send you a collection offer once your art is posted; note me if you don't get one within a day or two.
Usage
- Feel free to ink, reference, color, or otherwise modify finished art I make for you, just let me see what you've done with it!
- Please don't use my stuff for professional work. If you're interested in a logo, shirt design, etc. drop me a line and we can work something out.
- Please don't sell prints of what I make for you. Again, ask me if you want to do anything commercial with it.
