Here are my prices, terms, and info!

Ok so here's the deal. A few weeks ago i lost my job. I was only making minimum wage, but it was enough to keep my wife and i going, along with her income. Minimum wage recently increased by a dollar an hour, and i was really looking forward to having a slightly bigger paycheck, but instead i lost my income altogether.

Since then i've been constantly on the lookout for job opportunities, but nothing has turned out in my favor so far. We were already a bit behind on our rent and some of our bills, but now catching up has been made even more difficult. Have you ever heard the phrase, "It's very expensive to be poor"? Well, it's true. Additionally, it's kind of depressing to not have a job, especially if you live in a society that values being employed, and tells the unemployed that they are no more than a drain on everyone else.

BUT i'm not trying to turn this into a rant or a pity party. I just want to explain the situation i'm in so that you know how absolutely grateful i would be if you commission me. I think my art has improved a lot since the last time i was open for commissions, and i think my new prices reflect that improvement. If you can't commission me, then i would really appreciate a signal boost. If you know someone in the market for commissioned art who might like my style, please tell them about me.
