laptop again. by insanejoker

EDIT: Laptop is back to "normal". Dad ordered a new screen for replacement, so hopefully this fixes everything by thurs. I am a bit worried as I couldn't get into safe mode without running into a black screen, which means driver issues, but maybe it's just 'cause I was messing with them. Just crossing my fingers this works.

Laptop did the red screen again. as instructed by my dad I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers again. then when it went to the login in screen it was just black. so trying to load safe mode and so far nada.

it also gave me a hard disk failure notice.

I'm guessing my laptop is actually dying right now.

At this point I need to call the loan people and push back payments to the max. there is no way I can recoup financially unless I do that, which gives some wiggle room to get this rrepaired or get a new laptop.

I'm writing this on my phone so excuse any typos.

laptop again.

Oh my gods. Hard Disk failure and your Dad can't fix it... that's serious business right there.

I'm crossin my toes for you. If you can't fix it... there are some pretty cheap laptops out there... I've been looking too XD
Though I don't know if you're going for cheap or looking for a laptop with all your needs... cuz that can get expensive.

I'm wishing you all the best!!!

Thanks. finally got past the black screen but it refuses to load safe mode for some reason. Seems it got past the harddrive issue though it has me worried.

My dad was able to find a new panel for $100 but that's still a bullet I have to bite. unless he is super nice and just buys it for me. and he will have to install it.yfhggggfgbrx blah.

yea.I've been looking at cheaper laptops in the event this one fails.

I got my dad to buy the new screen just now, so hopefully that will solve all the issues.

Oh you are sorted then, I have the G74 and 75 there is guides online all over on how to take apart and put them back together again and the hard drives are easy to replace as well you could easily save that thing

            Thank you for the link!

It's more the financial aspect that's killing me. I'm supposed to start paying my student loans again next month but, I think I'm going to have to put those off as long as I'm allowed. Most of my paycheck has been towards working down my credit card debt or groceries (very little for entertainment), so I haven't been factoring in emergency computer expenses. My dad bought the screen for me at least and should I follow that video well we can replace it with hopefully no issues.

Ah it shouldn't be too bad asus normally build them like tanks mine have been going for almost 3 years no issues at all but maybe you should try kick up on some emergency commissions?

I could, but I hate to do that in the event I can't follow through (not that I expect my computer to just stop working and it's a slim possibility, but one nonetheless). I'd also feel like I'm throwing my personal problems into what I see as a sort of business, which I'd feel bad about too ><

Well if you mention that it might take a long time I'm sure most people who help woudent mind it at all
