I got tagged by Cooley :3 I haven't done one of these in awhile, and thought it might be fun to actually get into this site a bit more. I am horrid with staying active here ^^'

Rules:

10 facts about me:

1) I prefer the company of animals to people. It seems they have more pertinent and less depressing things to say.
2) On the note above, I feel awkward in social situations that don't involve animals.

3) I am generally laid back and have a good sense of humor, but I have a wicked temper that even my boss hides from.
4) I have hunted and fished most of my life, mostly for food, but also like to collect pelts, bones, skulls, and feathers and would like to use them to educate the public someday.
5) I am in love with nature. This is one of the main reasons I chose the field I went into, and why I love where I live.
6) I think technology made the world take a turn for the worse, especially when it comes to parenting.

7) I would not hesitate to protect those I care about, whether it meant losing my life or taking the aggressor's.

8) Since I have been able to walk, I have always walked on the balls of my feet. I do better flat-footing it now-but occasionally catch myself on tip toes.
9) I was born with no heartbeat and near dead, and almost died again from meningitis when I was two. Since then it has been a series of weird health problems out to get me haha
10) I have a fascination with the process of death. For some reason life makes sense to me, but I do not understand why things die and why they can't come back from a biological standpoint.

1) Gender and/or orientation?
Female/straight

2) Do you identify yourself as a furry and why or why not?
No. I just can't get into the fandom, and while I really like some anthro characters and their design, it's not my cup of tea. I also associate myself with my OC Blitz, but not to the point I'd want to BE her and dress up and do all that jazz. We just have some personality traits in common.

3) What is your favorite pass-time?
I have too many hobbies to chose. I think my most favorite, though not productive, is wandering into a quiet spot in the woods or fields to watch the sunset.

4) Do you have a pet?
I have a lot of pets. 3 snakes (a garter, corn, and W.hognose), a leopard gecko, 4 mice, a cat, and a GSD mix. I'd wither without pets.

5) Are you currently in school and if so, what are you studying?
I am not. I graduated college 6 years ago (can't believe it ;-;) with a BS in Biology, minor in Chemistry and something akin to associates in quantum mechanics.

6) What is your job? (Do you like it?)
I am a mercury analyst for a analytical lab, and I do not like it. The work does not stimulate my mind enough, and I mostly dislike the 'professionalism' or lack there of of the company itself.

7) What artist(s) inspires you?
A lot of artists inspire me, I think I really like Colin Bogle best, I wish I could do what he does, but I have so many inspirations it's hard to choose.

8) What artistic technique(s) do you enjoy using the most?
I'd have to say pyrography because I love the smell of burning wood. It's like camping.

9) What is your favorite movie?
Almost Heroes always makes me laugh, but again I have a lot of favorites from all sorts of genres

10) Do you go out much or tend to stay in?
Go out as in with people? No-not into the bar drinking scene. Go out as in outdoors? YES.
