Graduated, yay! :D by Thaily

I'm so happy! :D

I actually found out a while ago; they let you know right after your final exam presentation, mercifully enough.
But I've been tying up loose ends and catching up on work and chores I neglected in that tense pre-exam period, so I haven't really gotten around to updating people, to the extent people want to be updated.

If you had your fingers crossed for me, thank you :D

I now have a BA in Fine Arts and I'm super excited about it! This is a pretty big accomplishment for me. The work I graduated with is what I consider my personal project, separate from everything else that I draw. As such I'm keeping it separate from my other work, but there is overlap in themes so people who like my work here might also like my project.

If you want to have a look, it's on my homepage here: http://myriadofmagpies.com/
Or you can just get automatic updates by liking the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BridgeOfMagpies
Barring facebook misbehaving and not showing updates of course =_=

Graduated, yay! :D

Thanks! It might lead to an MA, but I'll have to save up for the tuition.

Hey, does this mean we'll see more of your lino work? I just saw on your homepage that you had one or two in your graduation pieces?

I had some landscapes, yes, which are on my homepage.
And I wanna concentrate on sculpting for a while, but eventually.

Ooooh, congrats! That's amazing. What are you doing now with your BA?

    • Link

Thank you! I might go on to get my BA, but I'm leaning in the direction of fine art as opposed to illustration. I discovered I like to make really large pieces and they seem to make an impression on people. So that's what I'm striving for, to make, show and sell the pieces I make in the process of exploring the world inside my head.
