i only got back into anime these past two years because my boyfriend loves anime. if you like things with magic id try fairy tail! like i dont like goofy animes or anything where the girl is wearing a short skirt, but i do enjoy fairy tail a lot!

and i dont think ive seen many animes with kemonomimis in it.. and the only animal one i can think of is wolfs rain.

but aw puppies! i love dogs but im allergic.. didnt stop me from becoming a trainer and a groomer though.. well it did eventully, the allergies got to me after a couple of years.
i have cats, lots of cats. and in the past i had rats and rabbits.

(oh oh i love studio ghibli films!!! )

oh man i LOVE training dogs. im not like
        professional or anything
but ive done it for years :D

btw while were talking, how did you decide you like drawing furries? :)

        • Link

funny enough i come from a fine art background, and i got sick and tired of drawing portraits of people and flowers, so i tried my hands at anime, and then i got bored of drawing people, i tried drawing animals but didnt do a good job at it. but then the person i was dateing was into furries, and they kinda freaked me out in a way? fur on thighs like wigged me out. so i said i was going to try drawing furries, because they were different. well i fell inlove with them and now for the past 8 years i love nothing more than fluffy thighs and cheeks :D

oh wow thats really interesting :o what a funny way to get into it ! haha
i dont remember how i got into anthro art but i remember making my very first wolf character, VayVay, and i still have her! but she was my first character and influence into the art world. i think i joined DA and saw an anthro character one day, i looked up anthro and found furries.. that was... 7 years ago? i think! hahaha

    Oh, me... I'm Bunny.
Oddly enough, as much as I love rabbits and continue to use them as a theme in art, I don't have any pet rabbits. I have instead, two rats and a tarantula. I used to have a centipede, but she passed away from complications with her molt.
Just last night my rat Gustav climbed on my face and wouldn't leave until I gave him a treat to make up for Beadle (my other rat) stealing his.
As far as anime... hmm, well I've been enjoying Attack on Titan and Space Dandy recently. I hope there is going to be more Princess Jellyfish, because that was really cute.

oh man, ive had rabbits in the past and they are great, but so are ratties! i miss having ratties so much.
gustav and beadle sound like a great rat pair, and have very distinct personalities im sure.

i just finished the anime of attack on titan, i heard the managa is something amazing but i havent had the chance to read it.

and tell me about princess jellyfish, i heard a few people mention it but im not sure if its my kinda anime or not.

Rats are fun. They are definitely very distinct. Beadle is very content to just lay in a lap and be brushed for hours, while Gustav needs tons of stimulation or he gets bored.

Yeah, if only I could find the manga around here.

Well, I first started watching it because the gifs I saw led me to believe that it was a yuri/lesbian romance. It's not, but it's still good. There's this little apartment building that is home to an all female group of nerds that call themselves the Sisterhood. The main character Tsukimi is a shy little nerd that is obsessed with jellyfish, and one night she meets Kuronoske (I'm not sure if I'm spelling their names right..), who is what she and her nerdy housemates refer to as a Stylish. Through much of the anime its about the bond that develops between Kuronoske and Tsukimi (and the rest of the cast as well). Also Kuronoske tries to help keep their home from being torn down by a housing development company. It's really cute and pretty funny. I recommend it.

Oh lord once you get me talking it's hard to shut me up. LET'S START FROM THE TOP

I had pizza, actually. From Domino's! I was splitting it with my youngest niece. I think I would have preferred Mexican, to be honest, as that's usually my default. Or perhaps pizza from a slightly more high quality place than Domino's. XP

Gosh I have so MANY favorite monster movies! I love monsters and ghosts and horror-y/spooky stuff in general. Dracula is forever my favorite of the classic monsters, but if you're looking for something more of the tooth and claw variety, I admit to having a weakness for Xenomorphs and Pumpkinhead.

I'm afraid I don't have pets at the moment. I have had rats in the past, though, and kitties (not at the same time).

I REALLY got into Kill la Kill. There was a lot in there that felt like it was written for me and my personal obsessions, haha. XD I think my favorite anime of all time might be Paranoia Agent, but I also liked Excel Saga (even though I never finished it), FLCL, Hellsing, Witch Hunter Robin...you know I SAY I don't watch much anime, but I do seem to have quite a few favorites, don't I?

As for manga adaptation, I'd like to see Dragon Half get a proper, full adaptation instead of a two-episode OVA!! That was so cute and silly.

oh man i am not a fan of dominos. ugh i just dont like it. i perfer mom and pop shops, or hell, pizza huts stuffed crust gets me every time.

and dracula is a great classic , and i LOVE Xenomorphs. did you know that ridley scott and his alien movies inspired Yoshio Sakamoto for metroid? even the monster is named Ridley :D : D: D

i miss having ratties so much. and right now i have too many cats, i rescued 5 kittens recently ontop of my other two cats.
two of the kittens have been rehomed, we are keeping two of them though, one has bad aggression when it comes to getting spooked, and the other has serious food aggression. im used to working with special needs animals, so i much rather help them here, then adopt them out, someone get bit and then they get dropped at a shelter.

the other one is 100% adoptable and 100% loveable. just someone needs to take him cause he needs a home <3

and i heard some bad things about kill la kill, like i heard its good but i heard theres a lot of skimpy outfits and sexy stuff about it. (rumors i dont really know) but i stay far away from that kinda stuff.
and yes paranoia agent was sooooo good, flcl, witch hunter robin. i do like some of hellsing, but another one of my favorites are Cowboy bebop for sure. i love older animes. (and brother hood isnt that bad either)
ive never read dragon half, how is it?
i love black cat, its kinda goofy but its about bounty hunters and stuff. and it has a good ending about it. but the anime was AWFUL. they tried making it like a funny cowboy bebop and they were jumping all over the plot in the first episode. like theres a big reveal in book like, 6 and they announced it ep. 1.

Dominos and I go back and forth. They are a LOT better than what they used to be, but that's still damning with faint praise. I much prefer the little places myself. And I do have a weakness for Pizza Hut...

Dracula is something of an obsession for me, haha. I can ramble about it AT LENGTH, and it is very difficult to get me to shut up once I get going. I think I'd read that about Metroid and Alien before, but I had actually forgotten it. I think it's awesome! I love it when one amazing piece of pop culture inspires another. And it just keeps going and going...

I looove ratties, but I wish they lived longer. ;_; They're such sweet, silly little things. And goodness, yes, that is a LOT of cats! I hope they all find good homes. Even the aggressive one. I'm glad that you're so willing to work with them, though. That's awesome of you. <3

Hoo boy, Kill la Kill. Well, I'll say this up front: You heard correct that there is a LOT of skin on display in the show. It all tends to be conveniently censored, and bared breasts tend to be nipple-free Barbie doll style, but I think Kill la Kill actually has the most nudity/skimpy outfits I have ever seen, female and male alike, in any anime ever. That having been said, they actually get rather creative with it, and it turns out to be kind of integral to the plot? I don't know, it's definitely fanservicey, but also kind of...not? I don't know how to describe it. It might not be your cup of tea, but it was definitely mine. I'd recommend giving at least the first episode a go, though given that it's a series from the former Gurren Lagann team, it winds up being a very...different show, by the end, than what it starts out as.

Cowboy Bebop! How could I have forgotten Bebop? It's one of the few anime out there where even the American dub is good, haha. As for Dragon Half, it might be a matter of taste. I found it rather goofy and silly fun, especially being fond of JRPGs growing up. I can't recall if it was too fanservicey or not, but I do remember that the main character ran around in that "bikini" armor style a lot.

WOW are you telling me the anime actually managed to spoil the manga?? THAT is some impressive dumbness right there.
