I’m a high school graduate. I did it. I ended up bawling my eyes out when the school got empty and I was waiting for my friend to pick me up. I’m so happy I’m leaving so much old anxiety behind about the crowds, about the gum chewing and my hearing disorder, I can’t believe I survived the bullies. I didn’t drop out, I fought the fears.
but god. I’m terrified of the unknown. I’m terrified of what’s next.
surely it's better... right?
there's still gonna be marching band so that makes me feel good.
but you know what this means?
I can make art again.
I can DO IT.
(so if you've been wanting to commission me you should send me a note and I'll be all like "hell yeah I'll draw that for you hell yeah I could use some money HELL YEAH I'M LOOKING FOR A JOB)
I know the feeling. I just graduated college a few weeks ago and I'm kind of going through the same thing. I have an internship here, if only to prolong the inevitable freaked out descent into madness that is becoming an adult. x3
Congratulations on making it through!
It's basically with the same people I was doing my senior project for! For the most part it's almost an extension to the work I was doing all senior year. It barely feels like school ended. x3
It's been one heck of a marathon, though. Preschool right into K-12, straight to 6 years of college. I don't remember a time when I wasn't taking classes, and now it's all over. T_T
THE MARCHING BAND THO
I stopped marching band in high school, but my friend who's in my college's marching band seems to like it a lot! I'm sure it'll be a blast~
What instrument by the way, if I may ask? (I was clarinet!)
IT IS MY LIFE I QUIT FRESHMAN YEAR AND CAME BACK A DAY LATER AND THEN I BECAME SECTION LEADER MY SENIOR YEAR AND I WOULD'VE DROPPED OUT WITHOUT BAND
it's the best <:} I play the trumpet!

Congratulations! The real world isn't that scary. It gives you a chance to start over I guess. :D
