J_013 - Merch ideas? Anthrocon! by FluffKevlar

I've never really been into the merchandise section of the fandom. I've never really sold prints, folios, etc. At least, myself directly. I'm working to make a few of these things and I NEED to know a few things from you guys. I will also be at AC in the Artist Alley!

Things like:
What kind of merchandise would you actually buy?
Wall scrolls, Posters, Dakimakura, prints, and stickers are the things I'm thinking of that I'd make. I've looked into, and have producers and sites in mind readily to make any of these, and/or just sell them myself at conventions, but, if you had the funds, and the design was good, would you actually buy any of these, and which ones? I'm just getting a feel for the reception.

What rating?
Clean, G stuff to show off publicly? or adult/sexual stuff just as much/no one's gonna see it?

How much would you actually pay for said things?
If I had to guess, I'd sell them as follows. Daki=75 USD, posters=50 USD, prints=10 USD, stickers=5 USD

What would you buy things OF?
My OCs? ARA, Vikna, Nytro, etc. Fanart characters? Abstract/misc. designs or characters?

just getting a feel for what watchers like, that's all. Hypothetical stuff! Nothing's in stone yet.

I'm personally a sticker whore. I think wall scrolls would be an interesting idea. (It's something I wanted to look into making too.) I'm gonna vote stickers, dakimakura, and wall scrolls!

Sketches and original art are my priority at cons as far as spending at the con goes. That includes the art show. If I do buy merch I tend to buy big prints, posters, graphic novels or comics.

For prints I lean towards pin-ups. Usually nude or almost nude but tasteful enough to hand on walls. Usually the bigger the better.

Aah, good to hear that! Thanks!
