Sketch settings? Gesture drawing help? by drawhound

Hey guys!

I'm still in the experimental stage with my Cintiq where I'm trying out a bunch of things to kind of get my own rhythm going. If you have photoshop, which brushes do you use to sketch with? I have a few pencil brushes, but for whatever reason they're not making me as happy as they used to, so I'd like to experiment with a bunch of different techniques and see what I like best!

Also, I've been feeling as if my posing is reaaaaaally stiff lately. Anyone have any good gesture tutorials they can recommend or anything? I need a nice refresher!

Thanks for the help <3

I use the basic round brush for EVERYTHING.

I on a whim tried that the other day and actually liked it! LOL WHAT IS LIFE. I'd just like something that looks a bit more naturally sketchy for sketches that I don't wanna paint over, otherwise I'd be like "I HAVE FOUND YOU, MAGIC TOOL!"

I have tried using sketchier things, but I can't feel or manipulate it like traditional mediums, so I guess I don't bother with it.

    STUMPY PENCIL ALL THE WAY.
    Seriously. It's fantastic.
I also use a "Dry Crayon" brush I found somewhere but I couldn't for the life of me get you the source for it.

I TOTALLY USE STUMPY PENCIL but for some reason I'm just not feeling it lately. I just now did some tinkering with the settings tho, and kiiiinda like it more than I did so MAYBE I JUST NEED TO KEEP PLAYING!
