Bug friends by Tapeworm

I could have made this earlier but I tend to spew more about stuff on tumblr than here. I keep thinking I should try to talk more on here and actually interact with people.

Anyway, not too long ago I got another friend to live in my room. She's a rose hair tarantula and she's named Sayru.
I'm really happy that I finally have a tarantula because I've been wanting one since I was a little Tape and my mom never let me have one because she's afraid of them. She's not so much anymore because I kept talking about them and showing her cute pictures.

If only I could do the same thing to my dad and grammy with cockroaches so I can show them Radius and Ulna without them flipping their shit over them. That would be great.

I feel like I'm more into bugs and stuff than I was when I was little, I think it's probably because I've been learning more stuff about them and actually have some living in my room that aren't ones that just wandered in. And watching them do things is really cool, like watching kingworms and crickets munch on stuff.

Bug friends :D! I dunno if I could keep tarantulas, not so much afraid of them, I just know they have a nasty habit of shooting hairs and the bite can be painful. I guess the painful bite could also be said about snakes which were the thing I loved and wanted since I was little and finally got when I moved out. Sayru sounds like a cutie though! What species are Radius and Ulna though :O? I kept a small colony of Dubia roaches when I had my Savannah Monitor a while back and we had some Madagascar Hissing Roaches in my Anatomy class in high school and those were super cool. I wouldn't mind having scorpions if my roommate wouldn't slaughter me for thinking of getting them.

The rose hairs are pretty chill, they won't do those unless they feel threatened.
Radius and Ulna are both hissers. I think it would be great to raise dubias for my beardies but I'd have to hide them. Even though I keep Radius and Ulna's tank in the open, no one's asked me what's in it and I've had them for a bit over a year by now. They're usually hiding under a piece of bark in there though, so I guess people think nothing's in there or something.
Yeah having a scorpion would be sweet, especially with a blacklight mmmm

I used to have snakes, one when I was in first grade, he was a corn snake. And the second one was actually my dad's and she was a ball python. They're one of those things I really miss having, the other thing I miss is rats.

I have a female Creamsicle Corn snake <3 I liked the hissers at school, I used to freak out all the kids in class cause I'd actually handle them. I was the weird one in the class haha

I had a giant centipede and an emperor scorpion before, and I helped my ex with their roaches. All of it was a lot of fun, and given half the chance I woudn't mind keeping a small colony of hissers discoids or giant caves again

When I heard I could get a tarantula I thought of other things I could get too and one of them was a centipede. I'll probably get one eventually.

feeding them is fun and it's cool when they are out. but they burrow a lot so it's another pet hole

Bugs are excellent! If you ever have the chance to keep a praying mantis you should jump on it
