Who edited my tags??? by mitsene

Umm, ok? Someone (a mod?) edited my most recent piece and added 'female' and 'human' as tags. except, it's not human. so... not sure why they did that? please don't do that. :( what if it wasn't female either? there's no obvious boobs, could have been a guy in drag, you don't know! how assumptuous.

i had no idea weasyl mods did that kind of thing. i'm really kind of flabbergasted as to why.

Try checking the tag history, cause I think any user can edit tags to help out the search system. Just this morning my most recent submission was edited with the tags "crystals" (helpful) and "male"... on the picture titled Goddess and already tagged as "goddess", "queen", and "female" @o@ it's a mystery, try checking the history and I guess just yank off the tags that you don't think apply. I mean, it's your art, bud!

Unfortunately I think any user can add/edit your tags. It really, really blows.

dang that stinks. what the heck.

If it looks mostly human, like a human with cat ears and a tail slapped on or even just a human face, then that's probably why.

yeah, some of my furry stuff looks more human than cat at this point in my art, so that makes sense.

If you're not sure it was us, I don't know why you'd go ahead and then say it was us in the next breath. :v We notify users directly of all actions we take. You have a tag history on each submission; no it was not a mod who added said tags.

thanks for letting me know, i was unaware that random users could edit tags. i've had submissions wrongly edited/recategorized on other art sites before by mods, so that's what i thought of first.

We make sure to have extra accountability on the part of all staff here. We have a public Staff Code of Conduct, so you can rest easy knowing that if for some reason we take action to your account or submissions, you will definitely know what we did and why we did it.

But yeah, random users can tag things. If you feel a user is harassing you through tagging, do let us know, but it seemed to be an honest mistake. Having well-tagged work helps users find your content a lot better when they go browsing, and we do encourage a community effort to beef up tagging.
