So while I've been sick I've been downloading free games with my PlayStation plus subscription and trying them out. One such game is called "Remember Me," and I'm both surprised and not surprised that I've never heard of it before.

This game is really really good, I mean it has it's flaws but it's definitely got me hooked. I like this memory based future world, I like the characters, I like the story, and I like the game play! The fighting system is very fun to learn and play with, the world is absolutely beautiful, the graphics are top natch, and honestly I could go on and on.

Why isn't this game more popular? Why aren't people talking about this game? It has a strong POC female lead, it has strong female villains (I mention female because all these ladies are like company owners or holding a strong position, you don't see that in games), it has a diverse cast of supporting characters, and the darkish future is kick-ass! Even if you aren't into controlling a female character (boo fucking woo, poor you) it's super fun to watch her jump around like a swift cat, kicking and punching and leaping from edge to edge.

I read/watched a few reviews from popular websites and they are unfairly judgmental of this game. They often point out flaws that they ignore or praise in other games, while ignoring all the really neat and new mechanics this game has to offer. Honestly I'm confused, it feels like this game is given a bad rep because it's not the normal mundane straight white guy shooting everything on screen. I dunno.

Anyway check this game out if you can, and spread the word. It's probably too late, but the company needs to know it should continue taking chances like this. Maybe we could make it a cult classic or something XD
